Streamers Ice Cream Parlor

This was one of my favorite places to go. They made great deserts! But to those of you looking for somewhere to go with great ice cream since they are closed, I recommend Udder Delights. They're a small place located at Val Vista and Warner, but their ice cream is made in their store and they have great flavors! im in high school and when i went to streamers it didn't seem like they were trying to get rid of us? they were very friendly! we had just come back from bowling and wanted dessert. so i have no idea what those people are talking about not being family friendly? some people just ruin things for the rest. it was one bad experience, get over it. more

After reading several reviews on Streamers posted on the internet I felt that it should be addressed that there is absolutely NO insect problem. I have been going to Streamers more than once a month since 2005 and have never encountered one of these so-called "creatures" that the person below me is referring to. Tom and Michelle are very on top of their pest control and have kept the restaurant in excellent shape for the time that i have been visiting their restaurant. Another review stated that the owners would not allow their 12 year old child to use the bathroom because she was not purchasing anything on the weekend. If you saw how incredibly busy it gets on the weekend and the problems they have with the junior high crowd trying to take advantage of them by running out on checks, wasting servers time for free waters, etc. you would understand that as an entreprenuer it is NOT their responsibility to take care of someone else's 12 year old daughter. Especially not when they are as busy as they are on those weekend nights. I would recommend Streamers ice cream parlour to anyone who may happen to stumble on this because you truly won't find greater people, atmosphere, food, or ice cream dishes as good as they have at Streamers! My husband and I went to Streamers for lunch during the week. While we were sitting and chatting waiting for our order 2 VERY large creatures crawled across the wall behind my husband. We pointed this out to one of the waitresses and she simply grabbed a napkin and got them. We asked to be moved to a different place and the waitress tried to explain that the creatures were coming in to get away from the heat and humidity. RIGHT! First off, I don't know what that person is ranting about. My family has been going to Streamers for years and have never ran into a problem. Tom and Michelle are professional and seem to know a lot of people by name. The food is great, we especially like the sandwiches... it's the only place where I'll pay for a grilled cheese. And the sunades are amazing! My fave is the smores one but my family are working our way through the list. Sometimes the ice cream doesn't make it to our table quite as fast but nearly always it's been great - it goes fast! A great stop, ( busy on the weekends), make a dinner and a movie out of it! more

Well, I'm not sure what the guy below me was talking about, but I have been going to Streamers ever since it opened and I have been satisfied ever since! Tom and Michelle are one the nicest people I have ever met. I find it hard to believe that they would actually be that rude to someone. Tom and Michelle are always walking to tables and talking with customers, making sure everything is okay and their food is excellent! Not to mention, they have some of the best servers I have ever met before. They are good kids with good morals. The restaurant has never seemed to fail me and my family. My daughter (12 yrs old) had an ?emergency? bathroom situation while visiting Gilbert Town Square. I thought Streamers (a ?family friendly? restaurant) would surely welcome her to use the restroom. I was wrong! My 12-year was turned away. There was no concern for my daughter, no help from the restaurant just, ?get out?... It would have cost them nothing. My wife later called to talk to the owner. Michelle (Co-Owner) gets on the phone and suddenly it becomes clear! Michelle berated my wife over the phone! Tom (the other owner) then gets on the phone and tells my wife (in a threatening manner), ?You sure sound brave over the phone? daring her to come back down to the restaurant. What in the world for Tom? Did you want to fight her in the parking lot? Were you hoping to hurt my wife? This is clearly the character of the owners. Streamers failed my family at the most basic level of customer service, just caring! A loyal patron NO MORE!" more
