There was a time when I would have provided a stellar review of Stonehorse, but that all changed on 10/26. I used to frequent Stone Horse no less than once a week, so everyone there knows me and I work quite nearby. Well, on 10/26 I met my husband for a late lunch (2p). I arrived before him and ordered a little nibble - then I received quite an education on how deliberately poor the service at Stonehorse can be.\r

The server was quite pushy and urged me to place orders for the both of us in spite of the fact that my husband had not arrived. She cautioned that the kitchen closes at 2p and all are anxious to get home and take a break before the place reopens at 5p. Well, I had no idea. And I certainly wouldn't have chosen Stone Horse for lunch that day had I known. Well, things only got worse. The service staff started hovering around our table (even after my husband arrived) and we felt so uncomfortable we ate less than half our food to give the servers back their restaurant.\r

The Stonehorse manager became aware of the poor service, but did nothing. He didn't tell the crows to give us more space and he didn't discount our meal. He allowed their abrasive and inappropriate behavior to continue. What's wrong with that picture? \r

Now, I've told friends and acquaintances about this event. I also declined invitations to Stonehorse and steered groups to other locations. The service staff's behavior that afternoon was just inexcusable. And remember, I was in there all the time before this incident! Lunch, dinner, happy hour. I'd given them entirely too much of my discretionary income to be treated so poorly - closing at 2 p or not!!!! Whew!!\r

Pros: Great memories of the Salmon Bento Box before 10/16
Cons: The wait staff - pushy, abrasive, insincere and impatient
