I have a skittish dog who had never been to the groomers before, and decided to bring her to this place mostly because the location is convenient for me. I brought my dog in to have the groomer see her and give me an estimate of how much a basic grooming would cost, and it was lower than any other place I had called ($40). I had explained to the groomer that my dog was nervous around a lot of people and other dogs, and she suggested that we book an appointment when there were no other dogs around for her first few times, to make her as calm as possible. She was also really good with my dog (which I suppose comes with working with them all day) and my dog responded really well to her. It was easy to get an appointment, and she did indeed book my dog for a quiet time slot when there were no others in the shop. My dog has a very thick coat and sheds constantly, so the groomer said that she would try and thin out her hair a bit to make her more comfortable in the heat and maybe decrease the shedding a little bit. The appointment took 90 minutes, and when I picked my dog up she looked great. I don't know how the groomer did it, but the dog's coat still looked the same (as I had asked for), but you could tell it had been sheared a bit and her thick furry undercoat was amazingly thinner. And, miracles of miracles, I have noticed a significant reduction in the shedding since I brought her home, and even brushing her today was easier and there was less fur coming off. She also doesn't look so pathetically miserable in my non-air-conditioned apartment. And the cost was such a great deal: $35 for the bath, haircut, nails, and glands (for my 25-pound dog, I'm sure different rates apply to different dogs). I am so happy I decided to take her there; they definately made me and my dog really happy.
Pros: Great groomer, great rates
