Wonderful Restraurant 2/14/2012

This place is wonderful! Well worth the 5 star rating, and a great representative to Charleston, SC! My family and I took a trip to SC for the first time recently and Sticky Fingers was our choice restaurant for my friends family (3 adults, 2 babies under 6mon) and my family (2 adults, 2 children under 4). My son, not quite 2, decided to knock over a brand new glass filled with soda- ALL over the table and floor. The men running the restaurants were all upbeat and good natured and very respectful about the accident, even bringing back a drink for my son (with a lid) and a new one for myself. I felt like an idiot, but it was only because of my own actions- the people working that night were nothing but nice. Their customer service would be enough to make me come back, and recommend- but the fact that their food was all delicious is even more reason. I look forward to buying some of their BBQ sauce off their website! more

Fantastic Rehersal Dinner 10/8/2011

We had my son's rehersal dinner at the Meeting Street Sticky Fingers location upstairs. We had 92 people from the Nashville and Knoxville Tennessee areas. We were so impressed by the staff and everything was perfect. The food was delicious and they made it so easy for us because they ordered the flowers, did all the decorations, ordered and picked up the cake, and had the equipment for our slide show after the dinner. There was also a beautiful outside patio that everyone loved. It was so Charleston. Everyone said it was the best rehersal dinner they had ever been to. We were so thrilled that everything went so smoothly and the bride and groom loved it. I would recommend this venue to anyone needing an excellent place for a party or rehersal dinner. more

Not impressed 10/25/2009

I came down here for a weekend, and as I was walking around King Street I smelled sticky fingers. By the smell I expected it to be great, but once we got our food, we were so disappointed. I live in Atlanta, and I like my ribs smoked or at least grilled, I don’t like parboiled ribs. Don’t boil my ribs first!! Service was great, sides were good, but the chicken had a funny taste, the ribs didn’t have that smoky flavor I love, and the pulled pork was kind of sad. Pros: Quick and friendly service, good sides Cons: parboiled ribs more

Best food we had during our trip. 8/11/2009

Service was fantastic. Waitress was very friendly & chatted with us and my niece. Our food came timely and was delicious. My niece, who is picky, even ate all of her dinner and was ready for ice cream! We all really enjoyed the restaurant. We were sat in a busy area, but given the delicious food, didn't even care! First time I had eaten at this restaurant, and I am looking forward to eating there again! Pros: Great service, great food. Cons: None. more

If you like your ribs w/ dry rub... 9/23/2007

We love this place for their dry rubbed ribs. Many locals put it down b/c it's become too popular. The fact of the matter is, it's solid and good. Don't hesitate to go here for lunch or dinner. I most highly recommend lunch, when they have many specials to choose from. If you choose an app., get the potatoe skins, which are topped w/ pulled pork and bbq sauce, they will melt in your mouth. more

Once is beyond enough 4/5/2007

I haven't eaten at any of the Charleston area Sticky Fingers locations and don't intend to. Not after having eaten at the Savannah, GA location. Last March, at the insistance of a friend, who became familiar with Sticky Fingers while stationed at the former Charleston naval base, my husband and I took him and another couple to the one in Savannah. Expecting some really great food after hearing this friend rave, for the past two days, about how ""wonderful"" Sticky Fingers was. We were sorely disappointed. No sides but rice, potatoes, slaw and ""baked beans"" straight from the can. And, fatty, gristly ribs. About the worst we've eaten. Since I don't want to risk another such experience, I won't be eating at Sticky Fingers again. Anywhere. Cons: Over-priced for such limited choices and mediocre food. more

Stickey fingers offers the best BBQ around...the food was delicious and the service was efficient and friendly. Would recommend to anyone, any age with any taste buds. Pros: food more

Good Ribs 6/13/2006

Chicken wings were pretty good. We had the ribs and the smoked chicken. Ribs were good, but chicken was bland (although moist). Overall, I'd rather dine at Jim N' Nick's downtown in Charleston. Pros: good ribs more

Good Ribs 12/22/2005

Local chopped BBQ is better but both locations (downtown and Mt. Pleasant) serve good ribs. A nice family retaurant chain. Pros: Ribs various ways Cons: Not as good as small more

Not impressed 10/25/2005

When I first moved here from Texas I was looking for a good Barbque restaurant and one of my co-workers recommended this place. I have to say I am not impressed at all! When I recieved my dinner I thought that she had handed me my childs plate! So all in all I have to say that the food is very bland and in very small portion. Cons: bland food, small portions, not very friendly more

among the best ribs 9/8/2005

ribs. that's all there was to it. my wife and i split a big ol' sampler platter and the ribs won, hands down. pulled pork was good. wings - we could have done without. go memphis dry and then you can sauce them up anyway you want. the place was still hoppin on a thursday night around 9:30 when we arrived. and on the weekend, forget it. great energy, but it gets really noisy and there's a wait out front with only one bench to sit on. i think we spent $60 for the 2 of us: appetizer, sampler platter, 4 beers. Pros: ribs ribs ribs, location, energy Cons: loud, busy more

The best BBQ in the South! 8/29/2005

I would name Stickys as one of the best restaurants in Charleston, which is no small feat, as the area offers tons of fun and fine dining. If you enjoy BBQ even in the least, you will LOVE their ribs, pork and wings! Following my first meal at Sticky Fingers, I have never looked backed or eaten barbecue elsewhere! more

The Best! 8/17/2005

The best barbecue and ribs, hands-down. And I recently tried the wings -- one of my new favorites! It's such a great place to take the family, my kids love it. more

Great Food! 8/12/2005

We ate at Sticky Fingers over Memorial Day weekend and it was fantastic. Their sauces are great and the food is wonderful. Pros: Cheap more

Overhyped 7/26/2005

The barbecue sandwiches were small and bland. The prices weren't cheap, who put them in the cheap eats group? The high recommendations in the other reviews seem fake. Pros: In tourist area Cons: Not cheap more

Ribtastic 9/14/2003

Fall off the bone ribs. The Memphis Style Dry are the best tasting, with a wonderful dry-rub that leaves more pork flavor. The Memphis Style Wet are the most popular but the sauce tends to cover the natural pork flavors. They have the BBQ sauce on the table so you may add it to your dry ribs if you prefer. Great place, don't miss it in your travels. Pros: good service, mod. priced Cons: crowded more

The best! 6/19/2003

The best ribs and barbecue around! Definitely add it to your list of things to do while in town! Pros: great service, good portions, and so good! more

Oliver Dunlap 3/14/2003

Sticky's is one of my family's staples - we go for lunch or dinner at least once a week. You cannot find better ribs and barbecue anywhere in Charleston, plus the service is excellent. Overall, one of my favorite places to eat. Our kids love it too! more
