Good Purchase Experience 4/8/2011

I bought a beautiful 2011 Chevy Equinox LTZ V6 AWD from Steve Moore Chevrolet. Sales Professional Alan Heidenreich was very informative and helpful without being pushy. After we closed the deal he took plenty of time showing me how all of the features in the SUV functioned. That was a great quick start guide. Sales Manager Clem Miller was happy to let me take the vehicle for an extended test drive and worked me out a good deal on the price. Finance Professional J.J. Jones got me a great rate on the payments. I drove away with a full tank of gas, a free future oil change and a good feeling about the whole car buying experience.\r I love the new ride and would recommend Steve Moore Chevrolet. more

Great Experiences Time after Time 4/5/2011

Steve Moore Chevrolet and their Service Writer Kenny Boate make this dealership a pleasure to deal with.\r \r Having bought a SSR from an other area dealer because there were so few avaialble, I started having warrantee and service work done at Steve Moore. \r \r I grew up doing major mechanical work myself and have found other dealers unwilling to listen to my diagnosis of service issues... but not Kenny Boate\r \r Kenny Boate was my introductiion to Steve Moore Chevrolet and he has always been my advocate getting parts and service ordered and scheduled.\r \r After a miserable experience with a nearby Hyundai dealer and service department, I dumped that nearly new car and bought a 2010 Equinox from them BECAUSE of my favorable service experience. Has there never been an issue or question.... NO ... but they have always worked through it to my satisfaction.\r \r GREAT service is how a dealer handles problems and Steve Moore has shown me they are a great dealer\r \r Kenny and the staff have ALWAYS kept me informed of the progress of the work, have never been heavy handed with suggesting addional service work and have been willing to work through any questions or special requests that I have had. \r \r If I were to loook for another vehicle, Steve Moore Chevrolet would probably be my only choice. more

Awesome Dealership 4/3/2011

Steve Moore Chevrolet is an awesome dealership. Every time I go in for a service or for a question, they always are prompt to answer and do a great job. Their service department is definitely the best in Charlotte, and they make a serious effort to make sure that every job is done right. I would recommend Steve Moore to anyone who is looking to buy a new Chevy or to get their current Chevy serviced or worked on. My Tahoe is getting ready to be two years old and has never had a serious problem because the service department does such a great job of taking care of it. My next Chevy will definitely be from Steve Moore and I hope that everyone else makes the same decision. more

Car Repair Service 3/29/2011

I took my car into the dealership after 3 visits to Firestone and their inability to fix the problem. My engine service light kept coming on the digital display and Firestone kept resetting it. Shortly after departing their store it would come on again. They told me that nothing seemed to be wrong except for the car running lean. The Steve Moore mechanic #114672, found leaking intake gaskets and repaired them. He also found the idler pulley to be loose thus creating a rattle noise. That was repaired too. While I was waiting at the dealership I enjoyed watching the morning news on TV and I had a complimentary bottle of water. Then someone from the office came out to the waiting area and offered to buy anyone who wanted it, a cup of coffee. I had that too.\r \r My vehicle spent the night at the dealership and was completed the next day by 10:00 a.m. as promised by the service attendent, Kevin. His calls kept me in the information loop all along the way.\r \r When my car pulled up to the front curb to be picked up by me, it was fresh from a car wash. I really appreciated that. \r \r So tomorrow I head to Michigan from Charlotte, NC, with the confidence that my car is in good shape for the long ride.\r \r I would definitely take my GMC Envoy back to Steve Moore Chevy for future service work.\r \r more

UNSAVORY EXPERIENCE 3/27/2011

My wife visited this dealership because we could not get in for oil change at our regular dealer(Randy Marion). What a disgrace this place is. My wife sat there for TWO HOURS for an oil change, not knowing what was happening with MY car. Then Krevin tried to sell her 700 DOLLARS worth of repairs saying my service was due.. Randy Marion routinely services my vehicles, and when I checked, they were ALL done already, just 10 thousand miles before. My wife felt uncomfortable the way he was talking to her. I dont know who he thinks he is making her feel that way. He's lucky I was not there. I would have stuck my foot up his ass. Those EMPLOYEES will one day be without a job and then they will reap what they have sown, bad manners, rude interaction and general lack of customer service skills. People who take their jobs for granted will get what they deserve in the end. more

Will Not Be Going Back 3/25/2011

I made an appointment for 1:15 to get an oil change and ""27 point"" inspection. (I normally do my own oil changes but we received a coupon for 4 free ones, so why not) I was told it would take 45 minutes to an hour so i went on my lunch break. An hour and 20 minutes later, I finally saw my vehicle emerge from the shop, only to sit for 15 minutes while the service representative ignored my key on his desk. From now on, I will gladly pay the $30 at Autozone, change my own oil, and save myself the time. I also recently set up an account to have a fleet of 10 service vehicles that I manage to be serviced here. That account will no longer be necessary, as I do not have the time to have any of my trucks down for an hour and a half for an oil change. more

Could not ask for a better experience 3/25/2011

I have taken my car to Steve Moore for oil changes in the past. This time, I took my 2004 Chevy Tahoe for replacement rear glass and a few other items. I could not have asked for better customer service; they gave me a loaner vehicle knowing that they had to order parts. Kenny Boate worked with me on the price of the labor and called to keep me informed. This is not a typical car dealership. The staff is friendly and courteous and did everything they said they were going to do. My car was returned to me newly washed, vacuumed and with protectant on the tires. I will return to Steve Moore for sure. more

Great Customer Service 3/22/2011

I took my 2007 Chevy Suburban up to the dealership after noticing a jerk with the engine while I was driving and the engine felt like it was dragging...I was assisted by Dennis Jenkins..He put me in a rental and took care of my vehicle with great service, if we had more Dennis's on the job the dealership would be a wonderful place to be. I had a very satisfactory experience and I am well leased with the work, my truck drives like new! Thank you for a job well done Dennis! more

MY CAR IS ALWAYS READY AS PROMISED, I RECEIVE CALLS UPDATING ME ON PROGRESS, EVERYONE I HAVE MET FROM SERVICE PERSONNEL TO CASHIERS FRIENDLY, COURTEIOUS AND A PLEASURE TO DEAL WITH. NEVER ONCE HAVE I EXPERIENCED A LARGE REPAIR BILL-PERFECT CAR AND PERFECT SERVICE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STEVE MOORE CHEVROLET FOR SERVICE. more

Customer Service 3/15/2011

The customer service there was great. Had a recall on my speakers and upon replacing them they gave me a loaner car until they finished. \r \r Thanks James more

A Terrific Dealer 3/14/2011

This is my third encounter with this dealership. All have been very positive. I've not previously dealt with an American dealer which was as concerned about me and my vehicle. I also own a Mercedes and would rank Steve Moore on equal footing for customer service and quality - can't believe I just wrote that!! A special recognition to Kevin Trudeau - GM Certified Consultant. more

Service / Parts Department- Take Warning 1/17/2011

My 2006 Chevrolet needed a new remote unlock fob, the parts department told me the price of a replacement fob would be 165.00 and 30.00 for programming. I told them that the directions for programming were in the owners manual- with that rip off price in mind I left and went to another Chevrolet dealership in town- their list price for the fob was less than 130.00 and they sold it to me at wholesale for 100.00 and were only trying to charge 20.00 for programming- Not much of a difference but enough to keep me from returning to Steve Chevrolet- they will try to rip you off- more

Great Customer Service 2/16/2010

I had just moved to Charlotte, when my 2002 Chevrolet Silverado decided to breakdown! I went to Steve Moore to get an estimate. I arrived to be met by true professionals as I exited the Tow Truck. Not only did they fix my truck, but they provided a Silverado Loaner for the rtwo days that they had my truck. I was constantly updated about the status of my vehicle. When I went to pick up my truck Scott the Service Director, took the time to go over my bill and answer any questions i may have had. I will be back! Pros: Went above and beyond! Cons: there is not a Steve Moore Chevrolet in every city! more

Not very professional 10/14/2009

This dealership tried to sell me a used car for more than a new one, all else being equal. The salesguy himself stated he knew this sounded crazy but he bought the used car back from a customer and got in heavy in the car only to then try and pass that loss onto someone else. This is obviously not professional and substandard, especially with GM closing many dealerships down. This, IMO, is not sound business practice. I won't buy from them as I do not trust them based on this poor experience. They say in their ad on the used one that it is competitively priced but they forgot to mention that if it was new you would pay almost $5,000 less. The extra $5,000 is to cover them being heaviy in the car because they bought it back from a customer who drove it for 4,666 miles and then decided it was to big to drive so he returned it. The dealer told me they stepped up to the plate to help this guy but they are not stepping up to the plate now as they want to pass that loss to an unknowing new customer ??? The car has scratches on the back as well. AND a used one with all the same features should not be $5,000 more than a brand new one. Go figure. They love that slogan at Steve Moore you get Moore...so creative! I think based on my experience at Steve Moore will make you pay Moore for less. Pros: None Cons: Terrible experience more

Awful experience 3/13/2009

I went to Steve Moore Chevrolet to purchase a new car. Chevy Malibu. My sales associate was very helpful in helping me find the car I wanted and getting everything set up. I was trading in my old car which was purchased in NY. When trading in the old car I gave Steve More Chevrolet my title to the car I was trading in. Everything was supposed to be all set. EXCEPT for the title was sent to the wrong department and I have been receiving calls every single day about the title to my old car and even threatening letters from GMAC. This issue was just resolved a MONTH later. Two days after I purchased my new car I noticed two scratches on the passenger side of my car. I bring the car back to the dealership to have the scratches removed. They have my new car for 4 days. 4 days I am with out a NEW car and not once am I offered a loaner. I get the car back finally from Steve Moore and the car looks awful. Paint of some sort all over the outside of the car and on the side mirror. Also brush burns throughout the paint job they tried to do when fixing my car. Obviously noticeable. I have the car back now for two weeks and a piece of rubber material between the doors and car is just now falling off. Whoever put the car back together after the paint job did an awful job. Leaving my car looking disgusting. Brand new car... not even 1000 miles on it and now back at the dealership getting fixed for the second time. Every time I tried to call to get something resolved with the title or car I was talked down to by whoever answered the phone. I actually had to drive to the dealership (after I was told they wouldn't pick up my car) to get something resolved. Finally I was given a loaner car while my brand new car is being fixed... I will never buy a car from this dealership again. They were so nice when I was actually buying the car and after the fact I was on my own. Please think twice before buying a vehicle for this dealership. I wish I had. The one star is for the sale associate that actually did a great job in selling the car. Pros: Helpful up until sale Cons: Not helpful after the fact more

GREAT PURCHASING EXPERIENCE 2/11/2009

I just graduated from UNC with a little money saved and a pretty good credit score. The staff at Steve Moore made buying my new Malibu fun and easy. They got all the paperwork with no hassle and comforted me in my new purchase as best as any dealership could. The general manager had a great personality about him and really appreciated the business. He was willing to discuss any discrepancies in depth along with the salesman involved in the transaction. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this dealership to any and all interested in purchasing a vehicle, more-so then some of the other dealerships whom i have heard horror stories about. This company is very humble, down to earth and highly organized and I look forward to a long relationship with both the sales and service departments. Pros: Incredibly friendly, Great supporting staff, amazing financiers willing to work for you, Management is more then willing to hop in the deal and help in every way to make you feel comfortable. more
