Stern, Robert A, MD - Fishkill Ob-Gyn

Good: Dr. Stern. Bad: Dr. Turk Ultrasound Tech (can't remember his name). Other: I used this practice during both of my pregnancies. My 1st child was big (10lbs&10oz) & they knew it but didn't schedule the baby to be induced till I was 42 wks. I begged for a c-section after 17 hours of labor. They suctioned her out &she had to be resusitatated bc the cord had strangled her. My 2nd baby died @ 16 weeks during 2nd pregnancy- the tech was heartless during ultrasound and had no people skills at all. During a previous u.sound he told me abt last patient b4 me whose baby was dead. Really guy?. more

Good: I like Dr. Stern and Dr. Turrk. I was a patient of thiers for 16 years, until last month.. Bad: I delivered 2 children, with complications, each time. I was never labeled high risk or did the level of concern or care raise when I miscarried 3 months into a pregnancy. I was denied a 20 week ultrasound,they said that my insurance wouldn't cover it. I decided at 5months pregnant to change practices. The new practice ordered an ultrasound that found my child had a life threatening deformity and propably would not survive.. Improvements: A higher level of care, ecspecially for those that have a history,work hard for medical insurance, and trust intuition.. Other: Please do not use Fishkill OB/GYN/Healthquest, unless you know you are having the perfect pregnancy.. more

I had a very bad experiance with this office, scared me with my pregnancy said that my child was not normal, they put me through a battery of tests and sent me to Westchester Medical for a special detailed test, I cried every day during pregnancy, than half way through I switched offices and I went on to have a normal healthy son. more
