Our daughter is a 1st grader at this school. She loves it and we love it. For kindergarten she was at our neighborhood school, which is a fine school, but she was not being sufficiently challenged and the curriculum was not sufficiently individualized. We were fortunate enough to be offered a spot and we could not be happier. Pros: null Cons: null more

Okay 5/17/2009

We knew someone who's daughter attended Sterling and they were very happy with the school, so we toured there when we were considering where to send our daughter. We thought the school looked great and the teachers seemed nice. We were a bit concerned about the class sizes and, although management provided some great information on the Montessori learning style, some specific questions asked of the teachers showed that they didn't exactly understand the philosophy. So we decided to look elsewhere. more

I went to this School with great hopes for my child. The class's are way to large and way to unorganized.The staff\r is o.k but unmotivated and doesn't even seem to want to be there.I had to say no thanks I am better off sending my child to public school. more

  • Located in Morrisville, N.C., Sterling Montessori Academy and Charter School is comprised of two separate educational entities. The academy serves children from ages 3 to 5, and it is a tuition-based program. The charter school serves children from ages 6 to 14 in kindergarten through eighth grade. It offers a range of educational and fundamental learning skills and programs. The school provides various subjects, such as art, physical education, math, science, language arts and foreign language classes, including Spanish. It organizes special extracurricular programs that include before- and after-school care, computer application classes, gymnastics and aquatics. Sterling Montessori Academy and Charter School also offers a variety of elective courses, such as art, band, drama, vocal music and journalism.
