Best

He always quotes me less for the job than I expected to pay, which makes it even easier to tip him and he always does a very professional job.

Worst

I went there to buy new speakers for my car and somehow ended up leaving without buying anything, still slightly confused about what I had even wanted in the first place. No harm ...

The guys are attentive, friendly, funny 3/28/2011

The guys are attentive, friendly, funny and never try to sell me stuff I don't need. As a matter of fact, they always start off showing me a deck that is waaaaay cheaper than what I came in intending to spend. I understand that I drive an older car, but my little She-Ra has pretty good stock speakers that I like to take full advantage of. more

great service and better products. 3/11/2011

The personal service from Stereo Warehouse keeps me coming back. With Best Buy and other businesses offering cheaper products, it's nice to have a local store with great service and better products. more

great prices! 3/4/2011

Stereo Warehouse is the only place I will shop. The employees are very friendly and courteous. Not only that, they are extremely knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. To contradict what the other reviewers said, there return ploicy is very clearly stated on their receipts. They have always gladly done exchanges for me as long as it was within the return period. For people who don't like to go to the corporate, commission sales floor, Stereo Warehouse is the place that rocks! And they have great prices! more

cannot be beat 3/4/2011

Their prices cannot be beat and the sales people know what they are talking about! more

You can't beat the selection 3/1/2011

Dutton is a nutcase, and I say that with a great amount of affection. He's a nut about audio, customer service and is a top notch employer. The thing he is absolutely the most nuts about, is NEVER being undersold. You can't beat the selection and you can''t beat the prices! more

Thanks 2/28/2011

I have been shoping at Stereo Warehouse for several years now. I feel compelled to write a review because of the exceptional service on my last visit. I have equipped several vehicles over the years and I have always been blown away by price and service. Lately I took an old truck of mine that they put a stereo in about 10 years ago. I was expecting to by a new stereo. They spent alot of time trouble shooting and found the problem. It works as good as new. Thanks Stereo Warehouse ! more

no problems 2/25/2011

I don't know what is up with the bad reviews here, because I have been shopping at SW for years with no problems. I notice that the bad reviews are all by Anonymous, as well, so I am wondering if they were posted by Car-Toys emplyees or what... I was just there last month again, replacing a stolen car stereo. The staff always seems quick, ready to help, and knowledgeable. And the prices are the best! I went in for an advertised special for $79.99, and although they were out of that model they offered me the newer model of the same stereo for only ten dollars more. It was installed in under twenty minutes. I will always go there for new car stereo needs! more

stereo warehouse! 2/23/2011

I've never had a problem with stereo warehouse! And I'm actually headed there today to get a deck installed, I didn't even need an appointment!! And I actually purchased my deck from stereo warehouse a few years ago for a crazy price! I love the deck. more

best place to go 2/18/2011

Actually they are really quit good they installed my music quick and easy and my subs were pounding so loud i thought my deck blew up so i went back but it was just a lil glitch so if you really want to know stereo warehouse is the best place to go to get your car hookd up more

helpful. 2/15/2011

The guys at stereo warehouse have always been helpful. They have installed both of my amps and even though there were problems both times (one bad amp, one bad head unit), they fix it every time. Even doing it for free when the next amp arrived and working out a different way to hook up my broken head unit (both bought from crutchfield). Not only that but they really do know what they are talking about and will treat you like a real person. more

oldest customers 2/9/2011

I've got to be one of Stereo Warehouse's oldest customers. I've been a customer of Dutton's since a previous shop of his called Car-Fi back in 1988. They always have the best price of any local dealer. True you can find things for a few bucks less on the internet, but you won't find a reliable or knowledgeable person to help you. Plus being a loyal customer has it's rewards, prices become negotiable and if you are a regular customer they'll take good care of you with even better deals than you'll find on the internet. I was shocked to read some of these posts and think they are completely ridiculous lies. I've purchased a lot of gear from them AND had a lot of things installed and never had a problem in 22 years of dealing with them. They've always gone the extra mile to make sure I'm happy. If you've got a problem stop by in the morning and talk to Dutton, I'm 100% confident he'll take care of you. more

knowledgeable 2/4/2011

I'm not that knowledgeable on car audio equipement so I was hoping that when I went to this store id be able to learn a few things so id no what to get. instead of showing me the most expensive gear he showed me what I was looking for and compared options and prices. Another words he started low then went up. He wasn't tryin to jip me he was very informative and helful..after comapring prices from this store and others, stereo warehouse can't be beat on prices, unless u go on the internet, but why bother with all the issues that incurs. Now that I know they got best rates and qualty product I'm going back soon to get my car hooked up! more

Over all bad/indifferent service 7/10/2010

I recently called Stereo Wharehouse to ask about having an alarm/automatic entry installed. When I called I asked how long it would take to have these things installed. I was told 2 hours. I handed the keys to the installer at 10:30 AM and he handed the keys back to me at just before 4:00 pm. When I first went in to talk about what I wanted done. I spoke to a woman and told her that I didn?t want the alarm to ?go off?. I just wanted the pager thing to go off. She never told the installer this. I could see that she was busy talking and texting on her blackberry. So, the installer just cut the wire and said come back in and I?ll put in a toggle switch. After a phew miles of leaving Stereo Warehouse I discovered that every time I used my turn signal the door locks would lock and unlock. Also: the installer did not replace some of the panels he removed, left several screws he removed from other panels lying on the floor of my vehicle and left sort of a mess from his stripped wires lying around. For $550.00 I would have thought he could at least clean up his mess. A phew days later I came back to have this corrected and the guy I talked to said that the installer wasn?t working that day. (couldn?t anyone else there have fixed the problem?) And that he would be back to work next Saturday at (9:00 am). I came back the following Saturday at around 11:00 am and was told that he wasn?t working that day. So then a sales guy said that he would look at it and fix it. He did, but after I left I got on the freeway and saw that he didn?t close the hood of my van and it was just sort of flappin in the breeze. My question is : What the hell kind of operation are you running? Pros: They sell good stuff Cons: See my rant below more

Cheap, fast, easy... 10/27/2009

These guys were the REAL better way to go. Pros: Won't try to upsell you, knowledgeable. Cons: Waiting area, neighborhood. more

Stereo Warehouse work 7/24/2009

We have had radios and satellite receivers (Sirius) installed at Stereo Wharehouse. They have been courteous and extremely helpful, specifically with problems with Sirius reception (which were no fault of Stereo Warehouse): they talked with Sirius and found the source of the problems. We would not have been able to get that kind of help ourselves from Sirius. No charge to us. This is the only place in town where we would have automobile audio equipment installed or worked on. (We have had them do installations in our Subaru Forester and our VW Vanagon.) By the way, besides the courtesy and work, we like very much the easy humor there. Pros: All work done very well Cons: None at all more
