My former girlfriend (someday we were planning on marrying), fell into this place after I had left town to see family. She had a ""friend"" talk her into going there to get away from me and get treatment for her ""problems"".\r
\r
Long story short, it is true that we were having problems and she was having severe depression. And, at times I showed behavior that I should not have. But rather than trying to help save the relationship, they were forceful (in her words) about her not seeing me or allowing me to be involved in her recovery and kept telling her it ""was best to move on"".\r
\r
I feel that she wanted to reach out to me and go to counceling and try to work things out. While there, she could not talk to me, I could not call her, write her or communicate in any way. This made her condition worse.\r
\r
We kept drifting further and further apart while she was there and eventually the relationship fell apart. End result? Her condition is still roughly the same and she is ""afraid"" to see me.\r

While Stepping Stones objective is an honorable one, they need to realize that just because some of us have male plumbing it dosen't mean that we are all the same and we are out to abuse women.\r
\r
I know her well enough to know that without Stepping Stones ""meddling"" and proper counceling, more than likely everything would have worked out for us. We were planning on marrying and adopting down and out children. Sounds like we are bad people huh? It is my opinion she was somewhat brainwashed there.\r

I will never spend a dime in this store again and I tell every one I can my story. Thanks for wrecking what could have been a wonderful family and two people who loved each other more than anything. \r

I hope someday you are out of business and replaced in this community with a group that will use their head and judge situations on an individual basis
Cons: Ruin relationships without looking at facts!
