Very Romantic 3/13/2009

My fiance took me to Steak Street last Saturday night to propose to me because it has always been our favorite date spot! We always ask to be seated upstairs along the railing where we can look down at the live music! It's so romantic and the servers are so friendly, you really feel like you've been on a mini vacation after you leave! more

5 Star......Awesome Experience 1/29/2009

We recently had our 30Th anniversary at Steak Street this past Saturday 1/24/09, which was possibly the best we have experienced in our 30 years of marriage. The fried lobster tail appetizer and bourbon fillet were to die for. The whole ambiance and setting in this restaurant is incredibly romantic for such an evening as ours. The live musician, Gary Woodard, was not only talented and mellow in voice but was added the perfect touch to make this a memory for the rest of our lives. We finished off our celebration with their warm bourbon bread pudding and simply melted away in this romantic personal setting. 5 Stars and a hearty THANK YOU to Steak Street, staff and musician for making this our very special night! more

Terrible brunch spot 10/22/2008

After hearing all the great things about Steak Street, we decided to give it a try for brunch. We should have taken a clue that the entire restaurant was empty.\r \r The brunch menu is extremely limited with only 4 or 5 items(however, you can still order off of the full menu, but what's the point of offering brunch). I ordered the shrimp and grits, my husband ordered the breakfast offering of eggs and bacon, and we ordered a grilled cheese for our daughter. The shrimp and grits were TERRIBLE. They were nothing like traditional shrimp and grits and the flavors were completely conflicting. Easily the worst I have ever tried. My daughter's grilled cheese was honestly just okay (I'm not sure how you mess up a grilled cheese, but somehow they did). My husband's breakfast was good, not great. The muffins they served prior to the meal were good, but they were the same kind you can pick up as a mix in a little pouch on aisle 4 of the grocery store. We finished with a piece of key lime p more

Great Cajun Food 12/29/2005

I love this restaraunt! The food is fantastic and the atmosphere is great. It is a great place to go after work for a drink. Appetizers are 1/2 off until 7:00 pm. The restaraunt is great for business dining or persal dining. You can always count on a good crowd, indicating good food. The daily specials keep you from having to even look at the menu! There is a cajun flare to all of your favorite foods! PROS: Just enough spicy to heat things up! CONS: Meals are mostly over $20 more

Good food, bad back room. 11/27/2005

The food at Steak Street is delicious - just make sure you don't get stuck seated in the back room (plain). That's not the atmosphere of Steak Street! Service is fast in the main area - not in the back room. Enjoy! more

great local restaurant 6/1/2004

The food is great and the ambience was very cozy. It is nice to dine at a restaurant that is locally owned with a very personable yet perfessional staff. I highly recommend trying some of their signature items such as the Voodoo shrimp!! more

Also in Greensboro 7/24/2003

Try the one in Greensboro also, I like it better, that one has a Key West theme and they have daily half price appetizers! Get conch fritters for $4!!! Awesome. My wife and I love to go there on a date more
