This place is a mess!! It takes like 10-15 min just to get the order in the drive-through - sometimes they dont even check it and you're just parked there like an idiot. Then 3 out of 5 times they will get your order wrong and then, on top of everything, they'll tell you'll have to go around and order again because they ""cant fix it"". Even when they get it right I have received burnt hot dogs and even found a rubber band in my onion rings. Ugh - stay away, this place SUCKS!! I dare you to find worst service in all of Pittsburgh. more

This place is terrible. The service is the worst I've ever seen. I just got two chili cheese hot dogs to go. When I got home I noticed that the bag was soaking wet? Odd I thought. I opened the container to find both hot dogs swimming in about a half inch of some kind of juice. Needless to say the buns where so wet that I couldn't even pick them up. There was no chili. Just beans. I called down to the restaurant and asked to speak to the manager. The girl who answered put me on hold. Then the same girl got back on the phone and said ""I'm the manager."" I said ""Oh really? What is your name again?"" She then hung up on me. Absolutely ridiculous. I tried to eat the hot dog with a fork, but ended up throwing it all away. I feel that my time and money have both been wasted. Stay away from this place at all costs. I for one will never return. more

i wish i could give it 0 stars. i came here and literally waited hr and half for my food! no joke... i felt bad for the server b/c it wasn't up to him but not once did a manager come up to us. i dont understand why it took so long but it was terrible. we did end up getting out whole meal comped but that is absurd. more

I remember steak and shake being a glorious addition to the waterfront. I would crave their steakburgers and usually make the journey to treat myself a few times a year but on a recent visit I feel as though I've lost faith in this particular store. Getting a to-go order here on a saturday night took us 37 minutes. 7 minutes to get any type of response from the takeout counter because they were socializing. 25 minutes for our food to be make even though we were the only order in the house, and an additional 5 minutes to get our sodas because the cook had to abandon the grill and grab them for us due to the counter girl being caught up in a conversation. We watched tables walk out because they had sat there for just as long as us with no greeting. The manager came out at one point before he went to hide somewhere in the back. I went the extra mile after this experience and contacted corporate, but got an automated ""sorry"" response and have heard nothing since. Pretty bad when you are sending an automated sorry response days later. more
