Same thing happened to us Gillian! We ordered from there a lot. It's nice to get steak delivered to your door. The food was never great, but the price was kind of reasonable and when I was tired from working all day and didn't feel like cooking, we'd order. I always ordered the same thing... the Judge Bean. It's a HUGE steak - like 20oz. So, one night we had friends over who were helping us on a big project. We were all exhausted and hungry. I suggested we order Steak Kountry and told the friends about these huge steaks and yadda, yadda.
Well, the delivery comes, I open my styrofoam container, and inside is this tiny (4oz.) steak! I was like ""Oh no, they screwed up our order!"" So I called and asked for the manager. For the sake of time, I'm going to condense what happened next. Mickala (the owner/manager) finally gets on the phone, and informs me that we got what we ordered and there's no way they could have made a mistake and basically told me off. She was so rude!!!! Finally after about 45 minutes of arguing with her and trying to find a spec of compassion in her, she offers to send me a gift certificate that we could use on our next visit. I said fine.
Mind you, we paid $90 for our crap meal that night, and when our ""gift certificate"" (aka: the biggest insult ever) finally comes in the mail (I had to call and ask her to send it for 3 weeks), it was for $8!!!! I called to ask her how that was supposed to fix anything and she hung up on me!!! NEVER - NEVER - NEVER AGAIN WILL WE SPEND MONEY WITH THOSE PEOPLE!!! Oh yeah, and the other reason we ordered, rather than go in to the restaurant, was the 3 times we've gone in there, the service was terrible and her father (the other owner) is a rude jerk and got in my husband's face!
