Poor Management 2/16/2003

We made reservations for 7:15. When we arrived were told it would be half an hour despite the fact that we had reservations. We were seated 2 hours after our reservation time. The staff was overwhelmed so service suffered. The valet (which is the only parking option) was also overwhelmed and threw all the keys in a pile. We got our keys and got our own car and saw a couple whose keys and car were missing and were told they would put their name on a list. Good food, BAD management! Pros: good food Cons: poor parking options, reservations not kept, poor management more

No steak knife required 2/4/2003

My family has been eating at Lelli's for over 45 years... they have the best filet ever!!! We bring all our out of town guests here and they leave Lelli's with the same story... never ate a better steak. Wonderful italian atmosphere. If you're ever in or near Auburn Hills, MI ... make sure you visit Lelli's!!! Pros: Valet Parking more

Lelli's ..Top Choice 2/4/2003

Lelli's has been my favorite place to diner on very special occasions only. I first was introduced to this restruant 36 years ago when their place was on Woodward and East Grand Blvd. I have celebrated many birthdays there. Seeings my birthday is in December and only on two birthdays had to be cancelled because of snow. Since the fire has destroyed the restruant I have only dined twice in the new location. Just not enough time to get over there.I live closer, just no time. more

All Around Perfect 1/13/2003

I have tried to top Lelli's cuisine since I first tried it 12 years ago and in all of my travels I haven't been able to find better quality, selection, or value. The only thing missing is downtown location and oysters. Pros: Consistent Quality, Selection, Staff Cons: Only one location more

Great Food Bad Management 1/12/2003

I thought Lelli's Restaurant served me the best steak I have ever had from a restaurant. The zip sauce was great and the steak was cooked perfectly. The only real problem I saw with the place was that the owner should take a few lessons on how to run a more expensive restaurant. I thought he was rude and should deal more with his customers than sitting watching a tv that he had put in the bar. Luckily our waiter did a great job and handled our special requests (something the owner should try to do with such a large group) beautifully. more

A Classic 8/7/2002

Nothing is better than the Filet and no one has a better filet anywhere. Remember to get some extra zip sauce on the side. The soup, salad, antipasto tray, pasta and desert are not only included, but worth the trip! It is a shame that the Detroit location may not open, it was The Best! The Auburn Hills location is great, but not as perfect as Detroit. more

Italy meets Detroit!!! 7/29/2002

I have been to 22 countries and have eaten at plenty of Italian restraunts and this is the cream of the crop. The dining experience is very pleasent, the food is to die for, and the atmosphere is priceless. Overall it is truly the best restraunt I have ever eaten at. It is perfect for entertaining fine clients, romantic dinners, and family celebrations. It is fairly pricey, but more than worth the price. You're going to love it. Pros: Excellent Food, Extremely Clean, Great Atmosphere Cons: Pricey, Reservations a plus more

Outstanding food - too much for 1 human 7/10/2002

This place has terrific things to offer. Great filet and zip sauce, super spaghetti if you like the brownish sauce (I love it), and an excellent thick minestrone soup course. If you order something from the main menu, you better be hungry. It's way too much food! If you're smart you'll order from the lite menu and save a few pounds. Highly recommended food, very good and polite service. more
