I was looking around on what I wanted to get into that was going to last me a few years. So I got into a 2004 Ford Focus. I had no problems with vehicle. I also referred some of my friends who have nothing but a great experience with State Road Auto Sales. more

I had bought a car about two and a half years ago. The whole passenger side was smashed in a accedent before I bought it. the dealership failed to tell me this. I didn't find out untill i brought it to auto body shop i always go to. When ever my guy told me the issues with the car and how much it was to fix the internal damage I cried. I put so much into that car and got nothing out of it. Last yeat they crossed the line, there was a recall on my car something small and I was going to bring it in but I am a single mom and the time was not right I needed my car at that time my back was out and i was to and from the hospital. One morning i went outside I was trying to make my way back to the hospital because my back, so I pick my young daughter up and headed outside for a moment I thought i forgot where I parked, but NO I DIDN'T these people towed my car and their reason THE RECALL need to be fixed. I have asked around and everyone said that a recall is not mandatory but yet these prople took my car so because of that i told them to shove it I only had 4,000 more to pay they thought they were getting their money hell no they put me and my baby in a bad position, I had to walk to the hospital that day thanks to them. Also my gps was never on but when i sent it in for work they set it talk about invaision of privacy. They are to money hungry I would not send my worst enemy there........ more

I'M a 32 young single mom whit no family in the States.I was just browsing around when I meet the3 worst sales man I ever meet.He is the worst con artist i ever meet.He has no soul don't no how he can sleep at night.I bought a Mazda 626 about 2 weeks ago.He reassured me over and over again that the car was great no problems runs great.I thought i had at least 30 days.the car is a complete lemon and wont even give me my money back.I felt so ripped off that I had wasted my money on a car that's needs so much work done to it. So now I'm broke to even fix it if I wanted to.How can a person be so evil.School is around the corner and don't no what in gonna do.I suffer from seizure disorder. I was on the phone crying and pleading for at least my money back.My nerves got so bad that I had a full blown seizure. IN front of my kid all because of a sales associate.PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND I REPEAT DO NOT EVEN SPEAK WHIT A PORTUGUESE SALESMAN CALLED ALTINO or All. more

NEVER, EVER come to this place to buy a car!!!! First of all I am not the type to ever write a review. I never did and hopefully this has to be the last time! I just want to warn all the good people out there that have bad credit. Build your credit and dont settle for this place. I rather someone buy a car for a couple of thousand cash then to settle for this place!!! dont let these scumbags sell you something that your going to regret. My experience with state road auto has been an absolute nightmare! first my spouse and I bought a 2003 jetta. The reason we got into this jetta is b/c they had unusually low mileage (60,000) compared to all the other way high mileage cars they had there and our credit was not great at the time. So we went ahead and bought it. When you first bought the car they do not even clean it a bit!! The car was giving us problems (crank sensor issues, problems with the ignition coil, car kept on stalling, and the list goes on).from at least one week after time of purchase. Thank God we had gotten our sticker before then! to make this story short we stupidly bought a 2007 mazda from them before all these problems presented with the jetta bc we needed two cars in order for borth of us to get to work and bc we thought due to our credit we had no other options. This is where it gets worse. The mazda smelled sooooooo badly with smoke. they didnt clean it either. It had problems too many to name. That we brought it back multiple times for them to fix. The engine light was on and when we brought it there it came out and within seconds of driving it again went back on again. I am getting a headache from just remembering all the stuff we had to put up with both of theses cars. Long story short we were soo frustrated with the mazda that we stop paying and not even a week later they came and repoed it! and beware bc they have a gps on your car they know where it is when they want to repo it. We were at olive garden when they repoed the car!!! It is kinda weird but i felt so relieved!!!. Now two weeks later we get a letter stating that the r. door has damage, tire damage, etc, etc.(5,000 dollars in damages) REALLY)!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT buy a car here they sell you a crappy car with a whole bunch of problems then say you are the one that caused the damage so u can pay for something that they shouldve fixed before selling the car.... Also remember how i said they dont clean the car out when u first purchase it. Well they dont hesitate charging to clean it when they repo it!!! This company is an ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!!! Buying these cars have been the worst decision we've ever made in our lives!!!!! Save your money, Build your credit, buy a decent car, and BEWARE OF STATE ROAD AUTO!!! This is not the end of this I am gonna fight this with a lawyer until I win!!! more

These people are the absolute worst ! First, they tell you that its a buy here/pay here...its not....its a lease, you don't own the car....even at the end of your term there is a pay off. Next, they make the rules up as they go! I bought a used mini van from them, was short on funds, credit had been beat up and they were SO happy to see us. Test drove the van, needed brakes, but ran ok, enough to get us by. Went back 3 days later, signed a contract only to learn it is a lease, not a purchase, paid tax, title ect in thier name, have no idea what numbers they used to pay the tax, went back again to pick up the van. Salesman was off, manager was off, got this fat little POS named Jen to deliver vehicle, this thing was a discrace! Need the car, didn't have a choice... came home and spent 4 hours cleaning it. About 8 weeks went by, my work had slowed, so we got 2 weeks behind. One Sunday afternoon this scum bad shows up to take the vehicle, they tell me if I want to keep it, they need $300 now toward the repo and $110 a week untill it is caught up. We paid as agreed, according to my math, we were caught up, but by theres, well good only knows because they kept adding fees to fees and couldn't give me a clear explanation! I gave the van back to them, it was a POS and we had got to the point of being afraid to drive it on the highway. About 6 weeks went by and I recieve an bill for about $2900, $900 in tires, $300 repo fee(I dropped of the vehicle) and fees for a new front end, damage to the rear doors, just all kinds of made up numbers. I called them, they claim all this work was done, however, the tires went to $400 in a matter of seconds, claim it was an error and they can't or won't provide proof the other work was done. I did send them pictures of the vehicle, showing no damage and three times now the location of the damage has changed with no proof. DO NOT GO HERE!! The owner is never there if you need someone to complain to, the two girls in the office(supposedly run this hole in the wall) are ligit thieves, Margarite and Jen will lie thier way out of anything, Jen has a mouth on her, she is not capable of a converstion, she will yell, curse and then hang up. Margarite blames everything on Jen or the ""owner"" who still after 6 weeks won't return calls. THESE PEOPLE ARE THE WORST OF THE WORST....... THEY MAKE USED CAR SALEMAN LOOK WARM AND FUZZY! DONT GO HERE! more

State Rd Auto is the worst place u go to. It's like making a pact with the devil. (seriously!) Once u sign those papers, beware to sign ur life away! I bought a car for 10K wasnt even worth that much. Couldve got it for 2-3k. But shame on me cus i loved it. A year later nothing but problems. The air flow sensor went... then so did everything else. I started to go a week behing here, there... soo I went to pay like 6 wks thats 700.00.. toward my car payments.. instead of them doing that... what do they do? they freakin put that 700 towards what I owe like for the repo... allll the late fees..ok so instead of Margret trying to help me out they just pocketed my 700 bucks! Mind u I didnt know that until they repo""d my car 3 dys later and I sd I just paid u 700! She goes ""Oh that was for all ur late fees and ur repo from before!"" ARE YOU SERIOUS! So after I went there and flipped the *u know what* out Tony is hiding in his office like the lil shhhh that he is and wanted to have no part of it. I TOOK MY CAR BACK! I paid $8,000 total and when I went to go pay off the car they wanted another $6,000. I called my lawyer and walked away w/the car w/out paying the other 6k cus they knew in the end they would be screwed. And PATTY (the repo girl) is a drug addict. I remember when she picked up my car she was all drugged out! I called Tony to tell him and he said he knows but shes good at what she does. So ok, what if the broad gets in an accident w/our cars u gonna pay us back??? I can go on and on and on about them. But threw all that aggrivation w/state road I even stood in front of their lot w/signs saying dnt make a deal w/the devil! haha AND IM NOT THRU YET! more

when you go there you pay the down payment thats on the window but then your told plus taz title and plates then they give u an rv1 form to insure it and they go to the registry for you BUT its registered completely to them NOT YOU AT ALL!! and the excise tax comes in their name so you never see it and if not paid in time that they want like 5 days they hold your regular weekly car payments as if your behind then threaten to come take away the car. NEXT i go to the car wash 2 weeks later wash the car and all the paint on the bumper and roof came off completely i went to them and said wtf is this? it was painted by maaco and was a enterprise rental car so they sent it back to maaco to repaint cheaply again so ive had the car since april 2010 and i hate the chic in the office she is rude rude rude she is the only one there that is female beware she is the devil! i wish i could swear i would name her everything possible u got bad credit save dont let people like stae road make u feel like there no ther way Pros: get a car with bad credit but you pay the price Cons: cars look pretty but are painted cheap and fast more
