I hired Star Maids to clean my sister's home. I met with the rep in the home and thought I'd made the right decision. I was wrong. FTR, I have worked for a maid service and know how the business should work.
I was promised 3 women cleaners. She ended up bringing a young man. Her explanation: that I, the client, had wanted the cleaning done ASAP. Wrong. I wanted it done in good time, with the 3 women as promised. If there was any question, she should have contacted me. I would never have approved the change.
The cleaning was barely noticeable. Toilets, sinks, mirrors, still as dirty as when they got there. Dog hair not vacuumed, furniture not dusted.
It took my sister multiple phone calls to finally work out a re-do. Things were done better the 2nd time around, but the quality of the first cleaning was very sub-par.
You only get one chance to make a good first impression. In this case, the impression was anything but good.
