Stanford University 10/11/2005

This is one of the best universities in all of California. My husband and I often visit the music room and play the piano. They also have chess club every Saturday from 3-5pm. There are always many activites going on. I also absolutely love their bookstore. It has a great cafe on the top floor so you can just read a great book or do your homeweok. Even if you don't go to school here, its a great place to visit. more

Stanford 9/22/2005

My husband and I often go to Stanford on the weekends to walk around the campus, play chess, or play the piano in the music room. It is such a beatiful campus with alot of nooks and cranny to explore. Wonderful place to hang out and they often have fun events that are open to the public. This university is a great asset to the bay area. Also their bookstore is wonderful. Very well organized and fun to explore. more

Top School 8/20/2005

Year in and year out, Stanford is consistently one of the top performing schools in the country. Not only do they have a record of academic excellence, but they have a record of athletic excellence as well. They have a marvelous campus located in picturesque Palo Alto. Tuition is quite expensive seeing as how they are a private school. more

One of the Top Colleges in the Nation 8/15/2005

Stanford University, know as an ivy-league-equal, is one of the top universities in the nation. Valedictorians come from all 50 states and over 50 nations to attend stanford. That said, it's got a top notch NCAA Division 1 football and basketball team. Swimmers from their top ranked swim team go to the olympics. They have one of the fastest and most prestious cross-country teams in the nation, where many runners go to the olypmics too. The facilities at stanford are world-class. The track here could double for an olympic track if the olympics were held in san francisco. The aquatic center, usable only if you're a student or facutly member, is also one of the best in the nation. more

Nice private school 7/15/2005

Known the world over for both its academic (undergraduate and graduate) and research programs, it also boasts one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation (and possibly the world). Founded in memory of their son, Leland, who died of typhoid fever at the tender age of 14, the university began with the purpose of offering a quality education to any who merited it. Due to rigorous academic standards of admission, a top-level sports program, and numerous community-service and outreach programs, Stanford is one of the most influential residents of the peninsula. Many classes are open for general enrollment. more
