This place use to be great now its just waiting for a drive by! I wont be back! Country!! What a joke!!

Wannabe Cowboys 11/14/2002

Dominated by wannabe yuppy "cowboys" and cowgirls. Wednesday ("lady's") nights are great if you are under 25 and (a) are a young girl who can't dance and just wants to drink for free (b) a guy hoping to meet a young girl who is drunk enough to go home with him. For the most part, the DJs are promoted up from ex-bouncers. They don't know the difference between a 2-step and a waltz. This place used to be much better, but it's still the best place to go on the east side. There are still some serious dancers who go here. Thursday nights are West Coast swing night. The restaurant serves pretty good moderately priced food. Ask for Steve the Bartender. He is one of the best in Denver. more

The Stampede has it all - great music, good food, a good-looking crowd, pool tables, a huge patio, and a cool race-track dance floor. The dance floor does get pretty crowded, especially on weekends. If you are serious about dancing, it is best to show up early and beat the rush. Pros: Delicious food, Race-track dancefloor, Free parking Cons: Crowded, Small dancefloor more

Very fun place to go. Great staff, good music, diverse crowd. You get a little bit of everything at the Stampede... Which makes for a great evening. more
