Our family has been linked with this college since the 1930s, my uncles attending flight school here in World War II, my father lecturing here, we went to mass in its chapel. The school has been rocked by a series of financial and moral scandals and lately it has taking to ignoring the complaints of neighbors asking for a return to quieter days. Off campus partying and bad on-campus behavior have made neighbors unhappy with the school and its administration. Granted, there's not a lot to do for students, but that has not stopped them from moving into homes in the community, staging massive parties there and ruining the residences. For the first time, the town has acted against the school to - hopefully - quash the behavior but it remains to be seen what will happen in the future. Visually appealing, but there are problems at SMC.
Pros: Visually apppealing campus, set in residential area.
Cons: Increasing problems with illegal substances, alcohol. Traffic, short on housing, increasing rancor between school and community.
