I completely agree with Manu in the review below. I read all the horrible reviews on other websites & i actually had a bad experience here prior, but in the blood lab. I figured since we had an emergency & it's the closest ER we'll just go ahead & take our chances.
The only positive is wait time since this hospital is always so empty.
Our nurse, Becky, was rude from the beginning to the end. I won't go into detail about everything that happened while we were there, but i will write about one. So the dr wanted to give my 2 yr old son a single dose steroid orally to help rid the bacterial infection. Becky walked in with the syringe ready to go and asked if I wanted to give it to him. I asked her if we could have it in the injectable form because it's very difficult to get him to drink any medication. She looked at me and said, ""YOU'RE bigger than him. "" I said, ""Yes, but he's very strong and knows all the little tricks to avoid swallowing anything! He'll keep coughing until he vomits, he'll spit everything out the second you put it in, and he takes a quick breath so that he can hold it & keep his teeth together."" She said, ""There is no injectable form. I'll do it.""
7 mins of struggling & she could not even get 1 drop in!!! Come on Becky, you're bigger than him. She just kept saying, ""Ive never had any kid fight so hard like this."" OBVIOUSLY, I wasn't lying. He is not easy. My mother in law & i kept mentioning that he needs to have the injectable form. Becky left to go talk to the dr. About 5 mins later, she comes in with another nurse AND the injectable steroid. We were done in 10 seconds.
Oh let me mention, that when the dr tried to stick the tongue depressor in my son's mouth and he started coughing the dr jumped back so fast as if he didn't want to catch what he has. But the whole time the dr was in there he made it seem like all of my son's congestion & stridor were coming the same bacteria causing his ear infection. My son has sounded like he was breathing through a straw for the past 3 days & has gotten barely any sleep since it was so hard to breathe. Having the dr blow off all my concerns made me feel so bad for him. ""No big deal.. If we had the congestion that he had, we wouldn't even feel anything because its really not much."" When we left, they handed me a paper saying he has bronchitis. Really? I thought it was barely anything. Not ONCE did they mention that to me in the room.
THIS PLACE LACKS COMPASSION AND SHOWS NO CONCERN FOR HELPING PEOPLE. Emergency or not, I won't ever go back.
