Unique in That it can Only be Reached by Boat 4/17/2006

St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park is a unique park in that it can only be reached by boat. That makes this the perfect place to do what Floridians take for granted and visitors come to do - fish, swim, snorkel, scuba dive and sunbathe. Because it's difficult to reach, this beach is much more quiet than beaches on the mainland. There is a boardwalk that allows you to walk through the unadulterated landscape. The natural habitat makes this a favorite nesting place for turtles. Although we don't get there often, I think St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park is one of the most unusual state parks we've been to in Central Florida. more
