First i must say that the new principal is fantastic, as are many of the teachers who offer a beautiful blend of progressive and traditional teaching styles. \r
That being said this is a very Catholic school and some of the teachers are very parochial. If you went to Catholic school as a child you will remember those teachers who would not budge, who seemed made of stone and could probably intimidate you to this day (I think of Sister Dorothy). I dare say that this generation of children does not do well with this type of teacher (did children ever do well with that?) even in the south.
Pros: challenging academics
Cons: strict/ harsh teachers may hinder learning
