St Charles Yellow Cab

At 12:30 pm, I ordered a cab for 3:30 pm. A 3:45 pm, I called to find out why my cab was late. The dispatcher told me it would be another 30-40 minutes. When I commented that ordering ahead of time meant absolutely nothing, the dispatcher said no, that wasn't true. But he also could not give me a reason why it didn't show. I called Ace Cab, who was just as busy, and they got somebody to my house in ten minutes. If you need dependability, don't count on Yellow Cab to deliver - or arrive. more

I run a local hotel here in St Charles, Mo...we ""had"" a negotiated rate with this cab company...Because we dont need to call them very often, as most people traveling here have their own transportation, they have decided to be rude and make nasty comments about other cab company's in the area...NOT VERY PROFESSIONAL~~ more

Driver was fun didn't care about what us drunk people said. He took a picture for us. Was right on time and the price on his meter was just what he said it would be. Pros: Thumbs up Cons: none more

We tried the company that claimed to have a discount and no fuel surcharge. They charged us more and never came back to get us. Yellow Cab came down and charged us exactly what they said it would cost which was less than the cheaper company. Pros: Better Value and they got the estimate right more

We've used Yellow Cab several times in the past for short trips and always been pleased. This time with going all the way downtown we called around for estimates. Of the 3 companies I called Saint Charles Yellow Cab was the highest estimate with their fuel surcharge. We got a ride down with the company that offered us a discount and said no fuel surcharges. When we got there they charged us over $30 more than their estimate and $11 more than the Yellow Cabs estimate. For the return trip when the other company forgot to come back and get us I called 724-1234. Our return trip was .20 more than the estimate they had given us. With the so called discount and no fuel surcharge it cost more to take the other company than the correct estimate we got from Yellow Cab. We are back to only one phone number in my Cell Phone. Linda Pros: Quote was within pennies of what they actually charged. Came and got me when other company abandoned me. Cons: Had a fuel surcharge but was still cheaper. more

Just got off the phone from my friend that was supposed to come get me Friday night. He got a DWI I took a cab. Pros: No DWI more

I just got off the phone with my drunk friend that was supposed to give me a ride home Friday night. He never showed up so I had to take a cab. He got pulled over and spend the weekend in jail on his 2nd DWI. Thank You Yellow Cab. I slept in my bed everynight. more

It has been years since I wanted a taxi. I wasn't expecting to need one tonight but so called friends left me in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night. That wonderful number from my childhood poped into mind I dialed it and they answered all cheery. Assured me that really had cars out working right then and one would come get me shortly. I didn't even know the address where I was, but told them the name of the place and I guess they knew it or looked it up cause a few minutes later here came a bright yellow beacon driving down the road looking for me. thanks! Pros: Arrived quickly, was polite, knew where I needed to go. Took Vida in the car at 3am Cons: would not take a check more
