Best

Still the best in the area for many years.

Worst

I'm sorry. I wanted to love this place. It is right down the street from me and gets great reviews but everytime I order it's way over priced and I can get better pizza at Papa Jo...

Bleh. 3/8/2008

Bleh pizza, bleh service, and bleh atmosphere. Sauce is too sweet; crust is too dry. Pizza was overcooked, and staff was underwhelming. Definitely not worth a drive, which is what we were foolish enough to do to try it based on the reviews. If your car breaks down in the parking lot and you're hungry, you probably won't be too upset if you ate here. more

Great. 1/22/2008

The food here is excellent!! Definitely NOT ""fast food"" pizza (a.k.a. Papa-Dominoes-HUT). Too bad I don't live in their delivery area! Every time I am there I can hear the employees having a good time. People who like their jobs make great food, I guess. They need a bigger store with a patio!! Pros: Everything tastes fresh! Cons: Small Dining Area. more

Great Delievery Service, Great Pizza and WIngs 11/28/2007

Ordered from them several times and and the food has been great every time. Whether its the pizza, wings, or calzones, they have been impressive every time!!. The takeout service has been great and the service!! Pros: Inexpensive, great food!! more

good food - not gracious or reliable 11/23/2007

love the food - no feel for apprietating good repeat customers, totally lack friendly feel & customer service.. hours are not reliable, shorted marinara sauce on last order... they could be great if hours were reliable & customer service was better... too bad, not sure if they would have made up for the shorted sauce..... they closed 1/2 earlier than thier stated hours so I never got the chance to see if they would have corrected the shorted sause... i ordered from a more expensive, more reliable pizza place that values good customers & good tippers! Examples of good customer service: New York Pizza Exchange & De Vinci's Pizza have the best customer service!!! more

GREAT PIZZA..... Now TWO of the Best in ATL within Miles of Each Other 11/1/2007

Citysearch has served the Pizza Public well. The reviews and comments on Citysearch have lead me to St Angelo's and Blue Moon Pizza. THESE ARE THE BEST PIZZA JOINTS IN ATL!. If you like thin, crisp crust with a great cheese blend and fresh spicey meats this is the place for you. I first stopped by for a slice and turned around and went back for a ""take out pie"". I live in Alpharetta but it is worth the 30 mile drive to get the best Pizza and Salads in North Atlanta. This really makes it tough, St Angelos or Blue Moon? I have a tough time deciding so I just go to both as often as possible. Pros: Excellent Pizza, Slice or Pie..... Salads, fresh, crisp and tasty Cons: ONLY ONE and too far away from me. more

Great Pizza Joint!!!!! 9/29/2007

After reading the reviews here and after getting bored with all of the usual pizza places my wife and I go, we decided we should go on a pizza adventure; find a new great pie. So on Friday night we left our downtown condo and headed towards Vinings. The place is located in a small strip mall and was surprisingly smaller than I imagined. When we approached the door, we saw a group of 6-8 guys sitting around a freshly delivered 18 inch hand tossed pie. My wife and I looked at each other and asked the waiter what style that was. It looked amazing. We placed our order at the counter as there is not full table service. I got an order of 5 x-hot wings and we ordered our ""test"" pizza(the one you order that is basic enough to give you an idea of its quality), NY hand tossed pepperoni and pinapple. We sat down at one of the booths and got comfortable. It was a nice vibe, busy enough, but not crazy. My wings arrived first and very quickly. Delicious. I always order them extra crispy and these were perfect. The X-hot was not crazy hot, but just perfect heat for a pre-pizza app. The pizza followed when I was was on wing 3(i love that I can order 5 since any more would be a waste with a pie coming) and it looked loaded and delicious. The crust was a golden brown unlike any pie crusts I have ever seen. The first bite was great because we both knew it was worth the trip. The toppings, crust, cheese and sauce were all perfectly balenced. Bottom line, it was a great pizza. It was a style all its own and better than what 99% of what other places try to do. NY's will not think it is NY style and I cannot speak of the deep dish. But if you just want a quick delicious meal, this is a great place. We will be back for certain. And we will be bringing others. Right now, this is our #2 pizza place behind Shorty's, though I can see it being tied for #1 because the menu looks like it has some gems to be mined. BTW, our meal cost us $20.20. Pros: Everything we had was great. Even the sweat tea! Cons: I only wish I lived near it! more

Fantastic - Family Friendly & Great With Kids! 8/8/2007

St. Angelo's is a super, family-friendly, community-oriented pizza place with fantastic food! They participated in Preschool Adventures this summer and was rated among one of the top locations from the moms and children participating in our program. (Preschool Adventures is a local program that brings moms and their preschool-age children together to interactively explore, tour and visit with the people and places in the community.) St. Angelo's was very willing to take part in Preschool Adventures and opened their doors to our children to come in for a pizza-making demonstration. They even allowed the children to make their own pizzas! They were great and lots of fun with the children. Our visit was simply fantastic and the owners and managers at St. Angelo's are first-rate. Pros: Family-friendly, community-oriented! more

Best Pizza in Atlanta, Hands Down 6/7/2007

I have had alot of pizza in this city, none can touch St Angelo's! You will be hooked after your first slice! Pros: Taste Cons: Service more

Thank You St. Angelo's 5/20/2007

I went into St. Angelo's hoping to get a New York slice and a drink, I got the slice and it was HUGE I could'nt even finish it. The slice was so hot and delicious I could'nt believe my total was $4.00. I had to get a togo box and I couldn't stop eating it through out the day. I am hooked now that is my permanent lunch spot. more

You GOTTA try this pizza!!! 5/20/2007

St. Angelo's is off the chain! If you've never tried this pizza, you really missing out. I just moved to ATL from VA, and I'll have to say this is the best pizza I've had in years. 5 STARS!! Pros: Taste, Service more

WORST SERVICE EVER!! 4/18/2007

The guy standing behind the counter spoke so softly and completely refused to look up at me. It took me awhile to realize that he was actually speaking to me. I didn't see anyone else at the counter so I figured that he must be talking to me. I just guessed that he asked me what I wanted. I didn't hear what he actually said. I asked for the lemon pepper wings. He said something else and I couldn't hear him so I must have said excuse me I didn't hear you about 3 or 4 times before he with a long drawn out sigh said loud enough for me to hear would you like ranch or blue cheese with that. I asked for ranch and went to sit at one of the tables knowing it would be 10-15 minutes to cook. There was only one person in the restaurant and she was already eating her pizza so I didn't anticipate it would take long to receive the wings. WRONG!!! I sat for 30 minutes in the restaurant until a guy (not the guy who took my order) who was washing up in the back noticied that I had been sitting there for a long time went to stand where my wings had been sitting for awhile and brought them out to me. I thanked him and went out to my car only to discover I had the wrong order. I had hot wings not lemon pepper. I had to go back and wait another 20 minutes to get the right order. I tasted the wings and they were okay. Definitely not worth the hassle it took to get them. more

Excellent Pizza and salad 12/28/2006

Highly recommend the pizza. I have had it twice and thought it was excellent both times. The side salad is surprisingly good and behind counter personnel were courteous. Pros: Pizza, salad, convenient location Cons: Amount of dining space is severely limited more

Very commendable and friendly. We will try it again. 8/28/2006

We just moved from Alpharetta into the Smyrna area and got a little spoiled with some of the pizza places up there but most didn't deliver. We did a lot of carry out. Well, we got delivery last night from St. Angelo's after reading an article and it was very impressive. I spoke with the owner (Sean?) for 5 minutes on the phone and he was very nice and funny and told me if I enjoyed the experience as a first timer to write a review on Citysearch. As promised, here is our review: Pros: Quick delivery, hot food, great service more

Worst Pizza around!!!! 8/22/2006

Coming from the northeast, where pizza is serious, I decided to try this dump after reading the reviews............sadly to say, I will never do that again. The sauce was horrible!! tasted like Ragu or something....not nearly enough cheese on there.......the place was a dump, not clean or maintained.........wont see me there again.....!!! more

Best chicken tenders anywhere!!!!! 7/11/2006

We have actually been going to St. Angelo's for over a year. I bring my two girls and occasionally my wife will accompany us when she's in the mood for pizza night. For the girls, every night is pizza night if they had their choice. We get delivery every once in a while but mainly we will either pick up or dine in. Pros: HIGH QUALITY, SERVICE, DELIVERY Cons: NONE, THE PLACE, ROCKS more

Place where the whole family can get the meal they want! 6/27/2006

Just tried the chicken tenders and white pizza. Exceptionally tasty. Our grandchildren love the chicken tenders. Salads and doughboys plus the wings and pizza. Pros: Take out and delivery Cons: Crowded eat-in for lunch and supper more

Best Pizza in Atlanta 4/25/2006

This place is small, but amazing. Their food is incredible. Best pizza in Atlanta without a doubt. Try it out and write a review. Like some other guys said they have a chef in there now and things can only go up from there, hopefully they'll open up some more locations that'd be great Pros: Awesome food, Good people, fast service Cons: limited seating more

Good Atmosphere 4/21/2006

The food was commendable and the quick service was appreciated. I'll definitely plan on hanging out there regularly. more

Most Impressive 3/30/2006

The pizza is fantastic... like another person said they have a chef in the house now, and the food just keeps getting better. It's a terrific atmosphere, and I'll definatly be going back... Best pizza I've had in Atlanta to date! Pros: Excellent Food, Great People, did I say AWESOME?yes Cons: limited seating more

Best Pizza in Atlanta... If not the country 3/25/2006

The food was great before, but I've notice that there's a chef there now, and he really seems to know his stuff... and their Pizza is now INCREDIBLE... I probably eat there almost 3X a week! I've been to Chicago, New York, and Seattle, and have had the best pizza in all three cities, and I'll just say they have some serious competition. Pros: Excellent Food, Quality People, Friendly Service Cons: limited space, n/a, n/a more
