Best

I will be coming back for sure! Usually a big line out the door around lunch time, but its for a good reason! Best burger around! And the cheese skirt is amazing!

Worst

I've tried getting in the new place twice, ran out of time waiting had to get back to work, both times I was trying to treat some business people to one of our Sacramento Icons. ...

Best Burger ever. Period. 1/18/2007

This hamburger place is almost IMPOSSIBLE to find. But, once you find it, you'll crave it!!! The burgers are SO good, and they're cooked up unlike any other burger I've had before! The place is really, really small, and the staff are right there, you see how and where everything is cooked, and it's a pretty clean establishment on the inside. Pros: Large Portions, friendly service, all food made in front of you Cons: Not open enough, and the food takes awhile to make, but, that's what it takes to make such a great burger! more

Best Burger in Sacramento 12/30/2006

The best burger in town. I've been going there since the late seventies when Ruth and her husband ran it and now under the new owners. I always get a double squeeze with cheese ( off menu) and a hot dog ( the dog is almost as big as the burger and they deep fry it), the chili in the winter is my favorite with a squeeze with cheese. Its made with Habenero Chilis, after the third bite your wiping the sweat off your forehead and the back of you neck. Pros: The Food Cons: The wait if your late more

Unbelievable Burger - Definitately the Best 11/28/2006

The Squeeze w/cheese is one of the best burgers you will ever find. I travel a lot throughout California and have yet to find a burger that can compare to this one. The buns are Muzzio and are one of the best buns you could get. The french fries are made from real potato's, unlike the majority of places that you go to. The Squeeze Inn is a small place but there is plenty of seating in the back. Parking is harder to find than a seat. Although the place is not wheelchair accessible, there is a patio that works out well and the staff have no problem coming out to the patio to take your order. There are tables out back. Once you have one you will go back for more. My parents who live out of town try to stop there when they come down, with or without me. I have even put the number in my cell phone. You can always order ahead or get it to go. If you like a good burger you have to try this one. I have tried Nationwide, Jim Denny's and the other local favorites and they are no comparison. Pros: Great food, great value Cons: parking, seating, location, limited hours more

Great burgers and homemade fries! 6/30/2006

We read about Squeeze Inn online and had to try it. The place is a bit dumpy but the food is so good who cares. The people working there were friendly and fun! Had a bit of a wait for our food, we went right at lunch time and on a Saturday but it was worth it. Pros: good food and fun place Cons: not much parking, not much seating but if you live in Sacramento you have to try it at least once. more

Delicious Little Dive 8/4/2005

My co-workers took me here for lunch about two weeks ago and I was in burger heaven! It's definitely a bit of a hole in the wall and they are not kidding when they say ""Squeeze Inn"". It was hot and crowded and the back porch seats had lots of flies but that is not why you come here. You come here for the greasy, huge, wonderful Squeeze Burger with a cheese skirt and handcut fries with skins! Just call ahead (the wait can be looong, especially at lunch), pick up and go somewhere private where you can make a mess without everyone staring at you reveling in burgery goodness! The best burger I have had anywhere hands down. Make sure you ask for that cheese with a skirt! They let it melt down onto the grill and it gets lovely and crispy and...wow, now my stomach is growling! Pros: Burgers, Fries, Cheese Skirt Cons: Crowded, Hot more

Best Inn The West 7/22/2005

I have ate at hamburger places from Nebraska to Alaska, Montanna to Texas, and the bottom line is there is only one real hamburger place to eat, ""The Squeeze Inn"" in Sacramento, Calif. on Fruitridge Road, all the rest are just wanna be's. more

Still going strong 7/12/2005

My father, Ken Noblett, owned the Squeeze for 15 years before he moved. His food was legendary, and the currect owners keep up this tradition. The Squeeze is small town atmosphere, big city taste, and hometown kindness. The is no place like the Squeeze; either to eat at the counter, or grow-up behind the counter. more

You will NOT leave hungry 5/24/2005

If you have never been to Squeeze Inn...you MUST try it. It may be crowded inside, but there is plenty of seating out back. The Squeeze with Cheese is the burger to top. I have never found a better burger joint! Pros: Great Value, Awesome Food, Superb Service more

Best Burger in Town! =P~ 4/23/2005

Although I have to agree with the previous review about the ""Squeeze In"" being small, the burgers were awesome. I've never actually had a cheese skirt and am still having a craving the day after. The burgers were superb, service awesome. I had a birthday party for my brother there with about 15 people (since it's his favorite lunch spot) and he loved it. They were super friendly and let us take our time even after the establishment closed. To be honest, I'm planning on going back there some time this week because I wish I had eaten more. Alas' there is only so much room in my stomach! Thank U ""Squeeze In"" for making it special! Pros: Best Burgers, Awesome Service, Cheap Cons: Only Seats 10-15, Closes Early, Not For Dieters! :) more

A halo of cheese! 12/31/2004

The cheeseburger actually has a halo of cheese around it- never seen anything like it before- have to see it to believe it. The atmosphere is very cozy, as the name suggests- just a counter with 10 stools with the grill on the other side. The smallest burger shack I've seen. The server and cook are very friendly and usually chit-chat with customers. Fries are good and the Taco was quite yum too. Greasy but oh-so-good! Pros: Cheese, delicious burgers, yum tacos more

A spot of greatness on Fruitridge 10/28/2003

Take a great burger with melted, crispy cheese and great fries or the steak taco's with great fries, its all about the attitude that puts the Squeeze over the top. Ruth ran the sweat shop for years and seemed to know everyone by name, moved away and another young couple took over but the dedication is the same. Quantity, quallity and honest hard work to provide great service is simply admirable. My hats off to the Squeeze Inn, you deserve it the reconition and hopfully the profits! Pros: great food, great atmosphere Cons: lunch-hour business more

No Your Average Burger 8/4/2003

You will never have a cheeseburger like the one you get from the Squeeze Inn. It's huge and the cheese is a plentiful. Service is great and burgers are fantastic. It's a rare, hole in the wall place that is a must try for anyone who enjoys a good burger. Everything is made to order, right in front of you. They also have tacos, sandwiches and even a veggie burger. My favorite is a cheese burger with grilled onions and mushrooms. Pros: Great Service, Excellent Burgers, Large Portions Cons: Not open on Sunday more

Culinary Experience 12/13/2002

If you're out and about, and in that mood then squeeze in, pig out, and savor the food. Pros: Crowded so squeeze in, The fries are divine., Savor the experience. more

Best Burger! Period. 10/15/2002

I'm a huge fan of the good burger, from the In-n-outs of the fast food realms to the greasy spoons, and this burger is down and out THE BEST BURGER i've ever eaten. The fries are great too. For added variety (for those that cant live on burgers alone) have the chicken tacos, or the chili (and ask for the he-man). My biggest regret moving away from Sacramento, is that i dont have the Squeeze Inn avail whenever i want. sigh. Say hi to ruth for me. Pros: Great Burger, great owners Cons: lunch hour is busy more

Burger by Artist 5/22/2002

The Squeeze burger is the best burger that I have ever tasted in the whole world. No exaggeration. Try the chili and fries too. Pros: inexpensive, quaint, friendly staff Cons: limited seating more
