SpringHill Suites by Marriott Houston Hobby Airport

It was easy to find coming from the airport and I liked that it was right behind a Taco Cabana. Breakfast was good also. more

Excellent breakfast, very comfortable room with kitchenette and sofa, comfortable beds, no smoke! This was very close to Hobby Airport and well accessible to I-45 but not directly in the nearby poorer neighborhood more

The stay at the hotel was pleasant. Front Desk was very helpful. I got a courtesy call when I checked in to make sure the room was in order. That was the first time that that has happened to me before. Housekeeping was great. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of selection, whether I wanted a hot or cold breakfast, it had something for everyone. The rooms were roomy and clean. I liked the free wi-fi and refrigerator. The fitness room is small with 2 treadmills and an elliptical and some free weights, but you can get your cardio and weigh training done with no problem. Everything was wonderful; I would stay there again. more

My 17-year-old son and I stayed at Springhill Suites the night before our cruise out of Galveston. We purchased their cruise package and felt it was a GREAT deal. For less than the cost of the combined transportation, we were picked up at the airport and driven to the hotel, were provided free transportation anywhere we wanted to go within a five-mile radius of the facility, had a really good hot breakfast buffet, were provided transportation to the cruise ship pier in Galveston AND transportation from the cruise ship back to the airport at the conclusion of our week at sea. The staff at Springhill could not have been more accommodating. They truly made us feel like valuable customers. A fog-delay caused our ship to dock over three hours late in Galveston. Our Springhill shuttle driver was waiting and got us to the airport in time to make our flights. The facility is modern and the suites are large, comfortable and well appointed. They include a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and a desk with internet access. I recommend this hotel very highly, particularly for cruise passengers. The cost of transportation required to get from Houston to Galveston and back is daunting. The cruise package provides a GREAT hotel for less than the cost of purchasing the necessary transportation! Only issue we had was that the air conditioning rattled whenever it kicked in. We discovered that simply placing my backpack on top of the unit eliminated this problem. more

My family and I went to Houston last weekend and we stumbled upon this hotel when trying to book ahead of time. I thought it would be any other hotel, but no, it was SOO much better. Right upon entering, we were greeted with smiles from every staff member. We checked in an hour early and it was not a problem (as it is in a lot of other hotels). The room we got was clean, roomy, and had a nice view of the pool. As we were heading out to explore Houston and Galveston, the concierge printed out directions to our destination. We returned around the 6:45 thinking that we were too late for the kick back, but food was still coming out! There were baked potatoes, chicken fingers, meatballs, pretzels, chips and salsa, ruffles, popcorn and soda (popcorn and soda are always available after 3). The food was good and filling. The pool was nice, there was an indoor area and an outdoor area and you can switch between them without getting out of the pool. The hot tub was nice too. The hotel also had a small gym with a T.V. that my teenagers loved. But beyond all of these fabulous details, the customer service was outstanding! I have never felt so welcome and comfortable in a hotel like I have in this one. My picky children even asked the return to Houston just because they loved the hotel. Stay at this hotel, and I promise that you will not regret it! more

I stayed here last year and seemed to have a much better room. i was dissapointed on how worn out this particular room was......it was very clean and even though I did'nt want the room to be cleaned the wonderful house cleaner made sure i had more towels and coffee. Also I did not know the location of my room but all night long I heard running water very annoying! more

My experience here was pleasant. Upon checking in my experience was a great one. The breakfast was good. The evening drinks and snacks are served at 5:30p.m. until 7:00p.m. The service was good. There is a fitness room available. Other than that I enjoyed being away from home; free breakfast and evening snacks provented me from spending too much money on food. The pool area is small, but I like the fact that the pool is located inside and outside, because the weather was nasty and my children were able to swim inside. I would stay here again. The staff tried their best to make us feel comfortable even though they were short handed and all. I have read previous reviews about the hotel being dated. I feel that $59.00 dollars is not a bad deal for all the amentities that this hotel provides. The room was not bad, the television is flatscreen, and the mattress was very comfortable to sleep in. I recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling with children. Free breakfast and free evening snacks is a plus when traveling with children. more

My husband's 60th birthday party was a success and he was very happy. My entire family liked the place and really enjoyed themselves. I will refer this place to everyone who needs it, even though there was a misunderstanding with the dance floor, the staff and manager were very helpful and did their best to resolve this matter.
