Spring Garden Cafe

I have eaten at Spring Garden Cafe many times I'm an outside salesman and look forward to eating there every time I'am in the area,first of all the food is great the service is professional,it has a very pleasant ambiance at more than reasonable pricing.I would recommend this restaurant anyone,try it out you will be glad you did. more

Gotta tell ya my number one pick in the far west Chicago suburbs; particularly the Carol Stream/Hanover Park area is Spring Garden Cafe. Beats all it's peers on portion size, taste and service. You like eggs? Well, you ALWAYS get ""eggstras"" at SGC. 2-Egg Dish becomes a 3-Egg Dish, 3-Egger a 4-egger, egg-cetra, egg-cetra... Oh, and ""Hope"" is the best hostess ever; always a smile and makes sure we're happy. I promise you, you won't leave hungry and you won't get jerked around on price. The service is horribly slow and unfriendly staff. We waited for over an hour before our waitress decided to show up. We were told she had an asthma attack and was in the bathroom. No problem..not a big deal. I ordered my food (pasta with marinara sauce) - such a simple dish, anyone can make it (u'd think). When my food came out it looked aweful. the marinara sauce resembled tomato juice and tasted even worst. When I told my waitress, she said the chefs are different in teh morning and afternoon therefore sometimes the dishes taste different. Different was not the problem, it tasted nothing like an italian dish..it was horrible. I would never recommend going there again. There were 2 other people with me and their dishes also tasted horrible. Pros: Close to home Cons: Everything Else more
