I was shopping around all weekend. I already knew what I wanted and what I wanted to spend. Every dealer I stopped at was trying to talk me into something I didn't want. By the time I made it to Spreen Honda I was sure they were going to do the same. I was greeted by Albert Hidalgo and explained to him what I was looking for. He then asked me to step inside so he could find "MY NEXT CAR". He got me some Starbucks coffee and said he would be back in a few mins. Albert left for about 10 mins and returned with exactly what I was looking for at the price I was looking for. Thank you Albert and Spreen Honda for an amazing experience. more

I recently purchased a Honda CRV with the extraordinary help of Albert Hidalgo from Spreen Honda Loma Linda (CA). I must admit my aversion for dealing with dealerships; however, after my experience with Albert and Spreen, I now have an affinity for this particular dealership and its employees. Albert made me comfortable and never once attempted to pressure me or pull the "sales routine" on me. I truly appreciate that. I had a wonderful car buying experience today at Spreen Honda in Loma Linda. It had been 15 years since I purchased my last car so I really didn't know what to expect. Spreen had a wide selection of cars available and had the car I wanted at a great price. Freddy Flores in Sales and Todd Hunsaker in Finance made the purchase of my 2010 Civic EX-L hassle free. I drove 1 hour to Spreen Honda after finding the car I wanted online. I was helped by Freddy Flores and Derek Parsons (finance). They were so helpful and nice. We were quite pleased with our experience with salesman Freddy Flores. He was prompt with emails and responsive by phone as well. He quoted us an incredible price and convinced us that there would be no catch or bait-and-switch when we arrived at the dealer. We drove 90+ miles to purchase the CRV and despite a little bit of haggling (to add on extras that we thought were unnecessary), we made it to the back room with finance specialist Andy Towns. This is where all the surprises occurred, right when our guards were down. First of all, we were told that there was a maximum that we could charge on the credit card, which was very low. We were not told of this beforehand and we have experiences with other dealers that have a much higher cap on credit card charges for the down payment. When we expressed our dismay, Andy had a "manager" (not entirely sure what his role/title is) named Kelly come in and talk to us and he blatantly lied and was extremely condescending and rude. Secondly, we were sold the "immobilizer" safety system for a ridiculous price once we got home and did our research. So we were totally ripped off after all that!! Charged more than double what other people paid. Plus we were told that this feature would give us a discounted price on car insurance which is actually not true because the "Direct Ignition System with Immobilizer" comes STANDARD with all CRVs so we would have had the discounted insurance rate already. Yes, the "immobilizer" system that we paid for, is additional security per Spreen Honda and per Andy Towns, but when I spoke to a representative from the Honda dealer directly, he clearly told me that Honda did not endorse this additional security system. Overall, we felt that the savings we thought we were getting from Spreen Honda did not actually pan out and we definitely wasted about 5 hours of our time. more

My wife and I were going from dealership to dealership looking for a great buy. When we arrived at Spreen Honda we were approached by Freddy Flores. We were overcome by Freddy's laid back no pressure attitude. He took us around the dealership and showed us plenty of cars in our budget. I had been looking around for a pre-owned Honda for some time now. I went to a few dealers and made to feel like a fool. By the time I made it to see Albert at Spreen Honda I was in no mood for games. To my surprise he didn't play any with me. The pilot I went in to see had been sold. We live close to Spreen Honda in Loma Linda CA. We went in to look at cars and met a nice man named Ralph Graham. Ralph showed us a real good value on one of the few remaining 2009 Accords that they had. We decided to go ahead and purchase the car, and Ralph made the process really easy. The next day I was trying to program in our garage door remote, to our home link system, in the new Accord. I wasn't sure just how to do it, and right about then Ralph called to make sure everything was great with the new car. I explained what was going on and right away Ralph offered to come over and help me at the house. He got it working really fast. I was really impressed before, but Ralph really went the extra mile. We're a young couple on a budget, and needed a bigger car for our family. I called Spreen Honda in Loma Linda. Luckily for us we got ahold of Ralph Graham. I say luckily because he was really fun and friendly, in fact the whole place seemed to be having fun, which put us at ease. They're not the usual stiff, shirt and tie vulchers like so many places have. Ralph was very helpful, and we decided on a used Ford that fit our budget. Matt Humphrey was super funny, very smart, and genuinely cared that the Honda Fit I bought was the best car for me. He assured me it would last for a long time and that the accident rating was high. He was obviously concerned that I would be happy and safe in this car. The only thing I didn't like was waiting an hour for the finance department to approve my loan, but other than that, I walked in, told him what car I wanted, waiting for the finance department, got the keys, and drove off - super easy!!
