I've watched my daughter grow in leaps and bounds over the past three years she's been dancing at Spotlight. There have been tears when a routine seems too hard, but I've seen her rise to the challenge and become more skilled as a dancer--doing more than she thought she could do and gaining confidence not only in her dance ability, but in herself as a person. The passion she feels for dance is fueled by the excellent instruction she receives from the teachers at Spotlight and the creativity each of them brings to the class. In addition, I love the comraderie among the dancers, parents and teachers. We spend quite a bit of time travelling to competitions together, so having people you like being around and knowing you can count on if you need help makes it so much more enjoyable! more

This will be my 4th year dancing at Spotlight. I love it because the teachers want you to succeed as much as you do. Some of my best friends are the ones I've made at Spotlight. more

Spotlight Arts Academy 9/4/2012

SAA is directed by Naja Gentry and she runs a tight ship with rules that I believe my daughter needs to succeed. Also, Ms. Naja is incredibly nice and is always willing to spend time answering all my questions, in person or over the phone, and give me a detailed account of all of the classes offered and what would best suit my daughter. more

Spotlight Arts Academy 9/4/2012

My Daughter is continuing her 3rd year at Spotlight Arts Academy of Dance & Music ("SAA") which is a miracle. I tried many other Bay Area dance studios and my daughter never liked any of them and would quit within a couple weeks. My daughter and I like the fact that parents are not allowed to watch every class- but are invited during observation months' only. We both felt like that was a big distraction when she was dancing at other studios. SAA has a wide variety of dance classes and has extended weekend classes for those of us that work full time which I find a big plus! more

Spotlight Arts Academy 7/19/2012

Spotlight Arts Academy of Dance and Music has the best variety of classes in the area.  Here one can take classes in almost any style of dance:  ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, ballroom, hip-hop and break-dance…you name it!  Nowhere else can you find such a wide choice of dance styles in one place! more

Spotlight Arts Academy 7/19/2012

My three daughters have had an exceptional experience dancing at SAA. They have improved tremedously in their technical ability and their confidence has increased. Not only is the studio director, Ms Naja, an accomplished dancer, vocalist and teacher, she also has an amazing connection to her students, and it shows in her passion for and in her student's love of dance and singing. We love SAA! more

I tried many other Bay Area dance studios and my daughter never liked any of them and would quit within a couple weeks. We have used Spotlight Arts Academy for a few of our Billy open auditions and would definitely recommend it – the studio is a great size with all tea, coffee facilities, as well as good stereo. The best thing about the studio is Katie who runs it- who could not be more helpful. more
