Funny how David C. Joined 22 days ago. Same day his Canadian youth running group of 25-30 kids ripped two slat wall fixtures off the wall and left 26 items of clothing on the dressing room and bathroom floor and 4 in the lavatory. He would not even make the 2 girls that ripped the wooden fixtures apoligize and did not pay for damages until the Foley police threatened them with destruction of property and malious mischief. The police used the visa name in order to contact them for damages because they fled the premises. Donnie's employees average 4 1/2 years of employment and are 18-32, ask them how they feel. David C. needs to run back to Canada where his kids have no respect for property or authority. more

Just had a terrible experience at this store. At first wondering about it I was left assured after reading similar comments. The person who runs the store, Donnie is a BULLY. He will push you around and not listen. He will threaten you and accuse you and not look you in the eye. Yes he does have product, but so do many others out there, who deserve your business more than he does. It is one thing to offer poor customer service, but it is clearly another to pick on kids, and use strong arm tactics like using your VISA information unsolicted. His employees even mentioned they are fearful of him. He was very kind to us and our group when we first arrived, but he quickly turned at the first sign of anythiing that he did not like and then he became confontational, emotional, angry and downright scary. We teach our children to fight back against bullies, this is your time to show a grown up that he must stop, and take your business elsewhere. Read the other comments on here and other sites, please do the right thing. more

Met Donnie many years ago at an expo in Bowling Green, KY during a 10K run and have purchased many pairs of running shoes from him since. Outstanding prices with free shipping and no out of state sales tax makes a big difference in buying from him. more

If you have an aerobic addiction that requires apparel.. this is your favorite supplier... Top Brands, LARGE selection and super competitive pricing.. I have never experienced anything other than great service from the owner and staff.. other area running stores Plant Negative Reviews... because once you shop with SPORTS N MORE... other stores offer no value.. If you feel that service is some kind of gait analysis and steering you to inferior products.. this is not your store.. If you know what you are looking for.. and know value.. Run, Swim or Bike to this vendor.. you will leave with a smile and quality apparel and shoes at very fair prices more

The money you will save there is amazing. The shoes and clothes are all priced below the suggested retail and it is all the latest running gear. more

I wish I had read the 10 reviews I found on another review site. That would have saved me a lot of money and headaches. Unfortunately, I had not seen those reviews and had to learn things the hard way. I noticed the only positive reviews on citysearch (this site) list the owner by name, therefore, they are probably the owner's friends who he asked to write the only positive reviews found online. The prices are OK, but if you need to return something,, forget it! Also, the owner was not willing to work with me,, he told me to buy something else from his store instead. Yea, right,, I rather spend a few extra dollars in gas and drive to Pensacola or Fairhope to their running stores. In this economy you would think that an establishment would be willing to work with a customer, and thankful that someone shopped in their store. This place was not grateful. I echo all of the experiences the other negative reviewers wrote about,, cause it's the same experience I had!! more

I've purchased my past two pairs of running shoes here. Even if the shop didn't have the lowest prices IN THE REGION (cheaper than what I could find online!), I'd still find a way to show my patronage there. The owner, Donnie, understands running and does a lot to serve the needs of the running community. If you take [or want to] take running and fitness seriously, this is your shop. more

My wife recently has a new foot problem. We were referred to this store for the assistance that we would get in getting the right shoe. The clerk was semi-helpful and educated on the product. We were there about 30 minutes and tried six pairs of shoes to find the right one. Right before we went to pay, my wife asked, ""So what is the return policy?"" The owner stepped out and said, ""we dont take returns"" very rudely. thats okay, but he continued to say, ""in this extensive amount of time you should know if they would be the right shoe, plus alabama law says that you can transferred thru used shoes. we do plenty of business and dont mind losing a sell over our return policy. I dont need a returned pair of shoes in my life right now."" He was mad. Then I tried to change the subject and mention that I had bought shoes and cletes from him in the 90's and he said, ""I am still not taking the shoes back.' Decent running shop considering there isn't any real competition for a running store within 40 miles. That being said, prices were good, but the service was the worst. Bought several pairs of shoes, everything was fine. Got fitted in a new pair by an employee, not the owner, and started having problems with my foot. When I called to talk about a new pair and see about the return policy. Mind you these shoes were two days old and never left the inside of my house. I was talked to by the owner as if I had no right to call or ask him these questions. I was told that he had too much business to deal with people like me and didn't need to bother coming back. I have never written a review on a site like this. It took this type of behavior by a grown man to get me to do this. His attitude is what will hurt his business in the long run. Never again will I shop at his store. Never again will I breath his business name to recommend to other runners. Never again Pros: Cheap prices Cons: Crap attitude. Horrible owner. I used to shop at this store for years - my whole family did. However one day my wife went in swap out a pair of defective shorts and was treated terribly by the clerk. She came home and said she'd never shop there again. I had to convince her to give them another try because they had good prices and I hadn't had any problems. So she did. And when she did, she reported the ""issue"" to the store owner, who subsequently defended the clerk's bad behavior and went on a long tirade about how great they were doing and how they didn't need our business and how great an employee the clerk was. All he had to say was, ""I'm sorry ma'am, it won't happen again and we appreciate your business."" I called the store owner because I couldn't believe someone would exhibit such terrible customer service skills and, to my surprise, he began to tell me that he didn't need my business and if I thought I could do a better job, I should open a store of my own and start selling shoes. I have never had such a poor customer service experience in my life. Not only will I never go back to this store, but I will tell everyone about this. Buyer beware! Obviously they are doing so well that they don't need to treat customers nicely. Mr. store owner: You did not have to give me or my wife a long explanation about how great your employee is, about your return policy or about how well you business is doing.
