Splash For Hair Bridgewater

I've been to Splash Salon and Spa twice. My previous salon closed unexpectedly and after doing some online research I decided to give Splash a chance. My first appointment was with Marisol for a haircut. She was very nice, saw me on time, listened to my concerns and made suggestions. Overall, I didn't feel bad dishing out twice the amount of money I usually pay for a haircut. I had made my next appointment with her, but a few days before the appointment, I received a call saying that she is out of the country and that they need to cancel my appointment. The woman who called was very pleasant and professional. I decided I couldn't wait for Marisol's return and made an appointment with Colleen. My appointment was for this past Saturday, a day before Mother's Day. I arrived on time, gave my name to the receptionist who acknowledged me and said she would let Colleen know that I am here. I kid you not, I waited 25 minutes and not one person came out to say "Sorry, she is running late, can I offer you some water or anything?". I had my kid with me at the time, so timeliness was of the essence. Granted, the salon was a zoo, people coming and going, phone ringing non-stop, one of the owners enlisting the help of the mall cops to escort an irate customer out. I have seen several employees walk right by me to get their drinks and not one of them as much as smiled at me or asked if I am being helped. After 25 minutes I have had enough and walked over to the receptionist and told her that I've been waiting here for a long time. She looked at me with what could easily be described as a "deer in the headlights" look, glanced at the computer screen, looked back at the stylist's station and told me "Oh, she is still working on a client". Not the response I expected. Something along the lines of "I am very sorry, let me go check with her". Worst place to get a manicure and pedicure, End results looks like you had it done 2 weeks ago, your cuticle could be overgrown up to the tip of your nail and they wouldn't touch it but just add nail polish! They just make pretend that they are using the instrument and go through the motion to say they gave you the services but the end result is atrocious! I wasted $50 on this poor job that my young niece could have done and she is 5 years old! more

My hairdresser who has cut my hair for over 10 years is currently at this salon, so I have to give it a great rating. She cuts and styles my hair like no other! However, this salon has seen its share of turmoil in the past few years. The turnover has been unreal. When I couldn't find out where my stylist left and went to, I used several stylists at the salon. Every time I found one I really liked, she's be gone from the salon just a few months later! This is very frustrating. There is a lot of idle gossip at this salon that seems to distract the young staff. I was extremely dissapointed with the wedding day styling I paid for - $80 for the trial that the stylist didn't even leave in at my practice run and $150 for my wedding day hairstyle (a simple low bun) that was falling out before I even got the church. My bridesmaids got french twists that also feel out almost immediately because the stylist used hair pins instead of bobby pins. The salon is nice inside and has a trendy style. The massage services are very good but the waxing services are poor and overpriced. more
