Customer service A++++ 8/24/2011

We were on vacation up at Houghton lake and our boat broke down and we were not from the area so I did not know where to go. I went into spicer's and they help us within one hour I was back on the water with my boat. This saved our vacation and the employees were outstanding. In my opinion there is no marine that would do what they do for customers, or for that matter any business in todays world. So for the others, everyone has bad days but I don't think it was Spicer's boat city. Keep doing what you do it's great. more

I second the patron with the dirty boat. ""Terrible Service"" 1/4/2009

The patron with the returned dirty boat is right on the money. I turned a running snowmobile into them to have brakes adjusted and a new battery put on it. I picked it up with it's gas gap and ""cover"" bolts missing. I had to make an issue to have them replace the missing gas cap. I got it back to the cottage where wife and son took it for a ride which stalled and wouldn't restart five minutes into the trip. (lucky for cellphones) Loaded it back on the trailer, took it back where they claimed another expensive part was needed along with service charges. Rude manager threatened to hold my snowmobile in abeyance for service payment. What a nightmare!!!! more

Terrible service! 6/1/2008

Seriously the worst service we have ever gotten anywhere. We picked up our boat after paying for it to be cleaned and detailed and the boat was dirtier than when we dropped it off! They oil stained our carpets and all they could say was ""well you could talk to a manager if you want."" How about ""let me send someone to clean that right now""? I guess the economy is not effecting Spicer's Boat City if they can treat customers who have spent 50k with them this way. They can not wait for you to purchase a boat from them and they make all kinds of promises but they dont deliver on them. Cons: Horrible service department. Do not follow through and actually returned our boat to us dirty after paying for a cleaning. more
