Worst

We started using Spencer Pest Control in July 2005. Since then we've seen dozens of spiders and mosquitos but our worst problem was ticks!! We contacted Spencer 4 times by phone...

I have lived in the Melbourne area for over 2 years now. My home has a wood structure, and I knew I needed some sort of termite protection for it. I contacted Spencer because I was looking for a family owned local company (I'm not a big fan of the larger corporate companies because they just make me feel like another number on their list of customers). I was recommended Spencer by my neighbor. They came to my home right away and my termite program was installed immediately! My technician was so nice and polite. This summer, we had a little bit of a dry season and my lawn started to look horrible. I told my technician about it when he was out checking my termite system, and he had a lawn guy out the next day. They treated my lawn and in just a few weeks it looked back to normal. I moved here from up north. One thing I have never had a problem with is roaches- and they are everywhere in Florida! They are so nasty! I contacted the office as soon as I found that first roach in my kitchen, and again they had someone out that day to take care of my problem. They then offered me a discounted program that included both my termite and pest in one payment- and it's only $50 a month! I couldn't afford not to! Spencer is a great company. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They are always on time, polite, and take care of my problems while trying to save me money in the process. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! more

I remember Sheri Spencer at our Christmas dinner. She stood up - above us. The light seemed to become a bit crooked as it took a mouthful of her face. Her smile raced up into her lips as if it was something unnatural or horrific. Pros: free coffee. Cons: they might eat your children. more

Spencer Pest Control is unsatisfactory 6/16/2009

I've used Spenser Pest control since 11/2007 and have had the same technician. The problems that I have had with him is that he can't read or follow the simple instructions on my account. My instructions are 1) call before coming so that I can unlock the gate and 2) do not spray my fenced ORGANIC gardens. Well, I happened to come home just after my lawn was serviced in April 2009 and this is what I found. First, the technician never called so he scaled my fence and broke a slat. He must have also tried to force the gate open because the hardware had come loose as well as the post. This was not the worst of it. I happened to walk across my back patio when I encountered a very strong chemical smell. That's when I noticed that there was milky looking liquid on my seedlings which were sitting on my patio. I immediately inspected my ORGANIC gardens and they had been drenched with insecticide. After calming down, I informed Spencer Pest Control of the situation. They were apologet more

Each additional service will cost you bundles! 11/4/2005

We started using Spencer Pest Control in July 2005. Since then we've seen dozens of spiders and mosquitos but our worst problem was ticks!! We contacted Spencer 4 times by phone on this issue and we were told 1) it's going to cost $225 for tick treatment (in addition to our $225 set up fee and $65-$70 month fee); 2) we'll come spray the inside of your house for no charge (they never showed up) and 3) we'll have someone call you about a special lawn fertilizer that treats and prevents ticks (no one ever called). Don't let their years in service fool you...we had fewer bugs BEFORE they started. PROS: Nice when they were trying to sell us products CONS: Answering machine every time we called.
