Speedy Towing

When my car broke down on the freeway, I was first frustrated and then the scared and helpless feelings set in. I had no idea as what to do next, so I pulled out my iphone and did a search for a towtruck. Speedy Towing was the first name to pop up so I called them. Less than 30 min later a clean cut, uniformed, professional towtruck driver show up. He was very informative and answered all of my questions with confidence. He loaded my car and gave me a ride to the repair shop. When presented with the bill, I was shocked at how reasonable the charges were! Hopefully I dont need a towtruck in the future, but if I do, I now have speedy towing's phone number in my contact list!! more

So, yes, I admit that my son parked our vehicle on 90th and I-15 in the old Lowes parking lot. Yes, there were no parking signs there. And yes, my son was at fault. But, to have towing vehicles sitting right there waiting to tow your car, and then charging $214 after 1 hour of parking, is 1) excessive, and 2) morally reprehensible. We called to ""make an appointment"" to get our car out of impound, and they didn't show! I had to call a 2nd time. Then, the driver (Jeff) was really rude about the whole issue. Talk about a dirt bag company! more

So I?m meeting a local business owner for lunch. I have him meet me at the old Lowe?s off 90th and I-15 in Sandy. When I pull in the parking lot there are three state troopers sitting there! I park right next to them and wait for my friend to show up. He pulls up next to me and motions for me to get in his car and we go to lunch! We are gone for about one hour and 15 mins (Maybe less). and Speedy Towing (what?s in a name)tows my car four blocks away 8600 s 50 w Sandy and charges me the maximum they can for having my car less then an hour! $214 buck. What a scam these people are running! Yes when I went back to look for signs there are a couple very small signs in this large parking lot, stating no parking, but I doesn?t say is they are just sitting around waiting to screw the public. With this kind of work ethic I would never recommend them to anyone! I am retired from Delta Air Lines, an Advertising Consultant and a Realtor. I am very well connected to the community and know most all the business owners In the valley. I will be spreading the word about Speedy Towing and Scamming. They also may have damaged my exhaust system when dropping the car off in there mud pit they call a impound lot! more

I'm really dumbfounded at how the earlier reviews are so negative, the experience I had was NOTHING like the ones they describe. I suspect these may be disgruntled folks who had their cars impounded and are blaming Speedy for that. Anyway... I just had my car towed earlier today from Sandy to Salt Lake, and I paid exactly the amount the dispatcher quoted me (it was a very reasonable price). The driver was extremely courteous and arrived within a few minutes of my call. I had the car towed to a mechanic shop about 2 miles from my home and the driver even drove me home, which saved me a 20-30 minute walk. You can safely ignore these negative reviews, I would use Speedy again in a heartbeat. Pros: Professional Service, friendly more

These people are some of the sleaziest towing people I've ever encountered. They are con artists who are only looking to steal your money. Avoid them at all costs! Cons: They'll Do Anything for A Buck more

Don't trust their quotes. They will randomly change the cost as it suits them. Even the police officer agreed they are not honest and are looking to make a buck any way they can. They add no value to society and should be avoided at all cost. Oh yeah, it will cost you...dearly. Stay away from Speedy Tow scam artists! If I could give zero stars, I would. Cons: Only thing speedy is how fast they drain your wallet more

They had my car ready to be hooked on to. i showed up and the charge was $80. ten minutes later when i had the money from the ATM the charge went to $121. with no real reason except that they had other tows to do. I talked to management and they condoned the actions. Pros: when you want them they are nice but slow Cons: when they have you in the corner they stick it to you BIG TIME more

no stars for this company. I agree with the above review. They arbitrarily charge whatever they feel like and make their own rules as they go. Due to Speedy Tows practices....they should be regulated on what charges a towing service can charge for their questionable practices. If you can believe this, on top of all the additional charges for a recent tow, they also charged a $24. fuel charge to tow the car less than a half mile. more

WE GOT TOWED ON A TUESDAY NIGHT AND THEY QUOTED US $180 TO GET OUR CAR OUT. WHEN WE GOT THERE THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND RANDOMLY RAISED THEIR PRICE TO OVER $200! THERE WAS NOTHING WE COULD DO. IT WAS A JOKE! Cons: THEY WERE VERY RUDE AND RAISED THEIR PRICE FOR NO REASON. more
