Watch the Game 10/25/2010

I ended up going with some friends last minute and could get tickets to the football game, so we went here to just watch it on TV, and this place is really cool. I don't know if all the bars are like this in Athens, but I had a great time watching the game, and the food was okay too. more

Can't name a better date place 5/14/2010

A small plates and booze temple, Speakeasy sits one level above Broad Street in downtown Athens. Bottles of wine or cocktails start out the chit-chat while shareable standards such as spinach and artichoke dip, gruyere fondue, and calamari tend to please. Check out some of the more robust dishes like the molasses barbecue duck to keep your palate on its toes. Try out Speakeasy on bustling Thursday nights for half off bottles of wine. Speakeasy is one of my favorite restaraunts in Athens. They have a nice selection of tapas, and everything has always been awesome! You should try it if you haven't. more

Not bad 9/19/2008

A nice alternative when you're in the mood for something different, Speakeasy's food is consistently good and the setting is fun (upstairs in one of the old buildings downtown). Go with friends and share several tapas-style dishes. more

Bad Service but Good Food 5/1/2008

The food here is great for Athens anyway! We went for a friends birthday and at least enjoyed the food. The service was horrible. The waiter forgot one of the items we ordered and didn't even apologize for it. He has also no existent whenever we needed something. Not to mention we had to ask another waiter if we could see the dessert menu. Pros: the food Cons: the service more
