My wife had been bugging me to go visit Dr. Spaulding for probably more than a year. But I had a dentist who I liked well enough and thought that, well, all dentists are probably the same anyway.
Well, after Dr. Spaulding helped my wife with teeth grinding, a problem I have myself--and which my previous dentist did nothing to fix other than telling me to go to CVS and get a mouthguard--I figured I might as well give her office a try.
Boy, it was really worth it. In fact, as I coasted through that first session I had the distinct, awe-struck and somewhat unbelievable sense that I was not just going to a better dentist, but to a whole different level of dentistry altogether. The clean, attractive design of the office, accommodating staff, and utter professionalism of everyone there was like nothing I had experienced in healthcare.
They take their job very seriously here, and they really do look out for you and your teeth. Dr. Spaulding is very involved in preventive dentistry, and keeping your teeth strong throughout so that you don't wind up with major problems down the line. They have unbelievable technology, and they were the first dental office who managed to take my x-rays without causing me undue pain (I have tora in the bottom of my mouth). Beyond that, it's the little touches: sunglasses so that the overhead light doesn't hurt your eyes, Pandora music (any station you want) when you are getting a filling. Everything is done with great care, and made for as wonderful an experience as one can have at the dentist.
So, in short: I recommend the office. My dental hygienist was Missy (Melissa), who was a lot of fun and very capable--although I am sure that all the other hygienists are great as well. Really, I'm glad I made the shift and would advise anyone to look into what Dr. Spaulding's office has to offer.
