I love working at Spa One. I love my co workers!!! I love my manager Arthur and Sherreis. Pros: Love my co workers

Watch out! I love and (used to use) their servies, but do NOT become a member until they revise their membership terms. To quit Spa One, you must physically go into an office, g...

misleading...disappointed 7/27/2010

I signed up for their membership, pay $66 per month, then receive 1/2 off other services. i cancelled after a couple months of paying $66 and had several credits remaining. I tried using my credits 2 months after my cancellation and they said they expired with my membership. they failed to mention to me when i cancelled that my 3 or 4 massages that i already paid for would be void. shaddy. disappointed in their service. do not recommend their membership. Pros: ok massage Cons: misleading membership gimmicks more

Good Massages and nice ambience 3/10/2010

Spa One is solid all around and the prices are great. I signed up as a member for 3 months and used it a lot more than I expected. At $33 per hour for massages, I found I was a lot more impulsive about getting services. I cancelled last week because my back has healed and I am heading out of town for 2 months. I plan to sign up again once I am back. Try Fitz or Sarah, both are good. Pros: Always spotless. 1 hour is really 1 hour, not 50 minutes Cons: Speaking in hallways someyimes heard more

Very Nice and Reasonably Priced 9/13/2009

I recently went to Spa One with my best friend who is a member. We both got massages and facials. The staff is absolutely great. They made me feel like I was the most important person in the world. The massage was very good and the facial was even better. They asked me to buy a membership. I declined and was glad to see that the staff was not pushy at all. I plan to go back a few more times. If everything goes well, I will eventually sign up. I guess I'm just a bit cautious in this economy. However, I highly recommend Spa One. It's the best spa I've experienced in Tucson. Pros: Second Service is Half Price -- $33 for an hour facial! Cons: No showers more

Great Place to Relax 8/2/2009

I have had many pedicures when I lived in New Jersey but not as many here in Tucson. I went to Spa One on 6/27/09 and at first I was a little surprised by the way the pedicures were done but since this was my first time and a gift from my husband I gave it a go. Namm was so sweet and it was so relaxing with her. She explained how it would work and I was able to sit and read my book and relax without children. I had the first appointment of the day so I did not have to wait to be seated. The lady who was at the counter kept asking me if I wanted to sign up for a membership. Namm was very nice and did a great job. The whole event was really wonderful and it is very calm and peaceful in there. It was a great experience. It was a little more than I would want to pay normally but it is a nice treat. I would maybe go once a month maybe but it is a little more in this economy than I would want to pay. I am going back on 8/8 and my polish is still beautiful and holding. I have never had a pedicure last this long. Thank you for such a great job. Pros: I was very relaxed and it felt great. Cons: Wish they had massage chairs. more

a terrible place! 7/16/2009

By far the worst spa experiences I've ever had (and I tried going more than once with different technicians). The massages are terrible and you can't trust the waxing services. The staff is also incredibly rude. Take my advice and do not support this business - spend your money elsewhere! I have a feeling the positive reviews are fabricated/posted by staffers. Pros: nothing Cons: everything else more

First class treatments 5/16/2009

Spa One is somewhat pricier than Massage Envy and Rubs but it has never disappointed me. Every time I stray from them I regret it immensely. Kudos to Laura at the Skyline location. She has overcome her disability of being blind and always gives me great massages. I love the fact that this company has a heart. The sign up packet states that the owner gives a percentage of the profits to battered women's charities. Obviously, they also make special accomodations to hire people like Laura. I love this place. It is always spotless and elegant. I look forward to my appointment all week and I can't wait to go back. Pros: Gives back to Tucson. Great Employees Cons: No showers more

Best Massages in Arizona 5/1/2009

I am an athelete and I get massages regularly to help my muscles recover. I have had 6 massages at Spa One from 3 differnent people. 4 were fantastic and 2 were good. The deep tissue massages here are better than anywhere else in town and I tried them all. Not only that, but the prices are super reasonable. It's only $33 per hour massage after your first massage! Are you kidding me? That's a great deal!\r \r Pros: Best Massages, Clean and Friendly more

Spa One is better than Red Door 3/16/2009

I was a loyal customer of the Arden Red Door Spa at the La Paloma Resort for 4 years. My regular massage therapist, Arthur, unexpectedly left and the Red Door staff told me he moved away. I was unsatisfied with the other people I tried and stopped going regularly. A few months later, I tried Spa One and the massages were good so I went a few more times. Guess who I saw in the lobby one day? It was Arthur!! He told me he left Red Door to become the Director of Massage Services at Spa One. That explains why the massages at Spa One are so good! I also tried their manicures and pedicures and now I am hooked on those as well. The skinny: Spa One is the best spa in town if you aren't a slave to fashion. \r Pros: Friendly Staff. Great treatments Cons: No locker room or showers more

Great Massages, Clean and Beautiful 3/16/2009

I have been a client of Spa One for years and I am really happy with the way they treat their customers and my wife agrees; she is a client there as well. Spa one recently started offering regular clients free up grades such as french polish or a free bottle of nail polish with any 90 minute service. She goes to Bethany or Andrea at the Campbell/Skyline store. She is looking over my shoulder and just told me to quote her...""They are understanding, efficient and meticulous."" In addition to great pedicures, Spa one offers massages that I think are the best value in Arizona. If you book an appointment on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, they give you a full hour instead of the traditional 50 minutes. I strongly recommend Jeff or Jill for hot stone massages. Overall, it is a great place to relax, and unwind (or be pampered if you are a woman). The store is clean and beautiful, the workers are professional, you are treated like royalty and the prices are still about 1/3 cheaper than Gadabout. \r Pros: Highly skilled massage and nail people Cons: Few is any more

Very professional staff, beautiful spa 3/12/2009

This is the place to go if like deep tissue massages. I get a lot of them and the masseurs at Spa One are the top notch. The price isn't bad, either. I also had a really good hot stone massage there. I can't vouch for any other treatments. Pros: sports massages and hot stomes more

worst business in Tucson 3/12/2009

Spa One is horrible, and they are up to thier old tricks. I checking in recently and there were four negative reviews that have since been removed. Two were from ex-employees and two from customers. The ex-employees confirmed that most if not all of the good reviews posted on yelp and citysearch are written by employees under the direction of the CEO.\r \r Here is the bottom line, go to Spa One IF:\r \r 1. You want to deal with a business that has several open investigations with the Attorney General for consumer fraud. \r \r 2. You want to deal with a business that ignores complaints to the better b b. \r \r 3. You want to have a 60 minute appointment last 35 minutes. \r \r 4. You want to be cajoled and harrased into signing up for a membership and then have it not canceled no matter how many times you might ask, plead, beg, threaten or report to state agencies. \r \r 5. You want to deal with rude employees who could not care for your health or your well being. \r \r \r Please search \r \r spa-one-tucson\r \r and look about five returns down for the strait skinny. This is not my site but I support this lady 100%. I\r Avoid Spa One at all costs. Pros: absolutely nothing Cons: everything, litterally everything. more

The best waxings and facials ever!! 3/10/2009

Today I received a wax from shelly at the skyline and campbell location (what a beautiful spa) seriously the best brizilian, painless, quick and efficient! And the facials wow those girls in there really know what there doing. So very relaxion and my skin looks great :) thanks spa one more

Great Aestheticians! 3/10/2009

I received two great waxes at Spa One (Campbell and Skyline)! Claudia and Caitlyn were both extremely friendly - I was very comfortable with both ladies and almost forgot about the pain (ALMOST - there's really not much you can do to ease the pain of a brazilian wax!). Pros: knowledgeable, friendly staff; beautiful atmosphere Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

If you want a excellent waxing 3/9/2009

I have been getting waxing services for many years and the 6th and Campbell location in perticular has been the best waxes I have received. I really enjoy that they use a type of wax that hardens and doesn't grip the skin as much leaving my skin less red and doesn't hurt as much. Especially if you get brazilians this wax makes a brazilian alot less painful. I would reccommend Spa One to anyone who wants a great wax and at comparable prices. more

The best spa in Tucson 3/3/2009

My sister vists me frequently from Boston because I just gave birth to my first baby. She like to see her niece at least once every 4 months.\r \r My sister loves to visit spas but I do not go very often because they are often out of my budget. I took her to Spa One as a one time treat but I now go back every other week. In short, I fell head over heels in love with the place. First, all of the services were terrifiic. In fact ,my sister said she had the 2nd best massage of her life at Spa One. Second, it's very affordable. I signed up for their preferred customer program and now I only pay $33 for a one hour massage. My sister and I went together and had a great time.. She keeps tellnng me to try the pedicures but I suggest you try the facials, which are also terrific. I highly recommend Crystal. Pros: Great place. Very nice people who care about you. Cons: Takes an extra minute to check out. more

Very clean, very skilled, very good value 3/3/2009

I visited Tucson 3 times and 2008 and once in 2009 and I am sorry that I did not discover Spa 1 until my last visit. The interior is much nicer than I expected and everything was spotless. My pedicure from Keri was excellent and very safe. I am glad to find a place that takes such care to prevent infection and makes you feel like a queen. They do not use the same tub as the person right before you and all the tools are disposable. My facial was good and my massage with Cody was excellent. The prices were very reasonable. I got 4 services and the total bill was only $165. I usually pay $90 for my massage alone and another $100 for my facial. I wish Spa 1 would open a store in Boston. Pros: Open late every day. Great value. Cons: Almost none more

They give you chocolate!! 12/7/2008

I got a massage by a gentleman named Fitz and it was wonderful. A little cool in the room but after a few minutes I really did not care anymore. They told me my next visit will be half off so I made my boyfriend go the next day while I tried a few more treats.\r \r A nice young lady, I think her name is something like Carmel, did my facial and it felt so good that I actually fell asleep I was so relaxed. Finally I went into another room with a lot of windows and a pretty view. \r \r I can't remember the girl's name who did my pedicure but she sat in the corner and had a lot of yummy chocolate! She told me about a new almond pedicure so I decided to try it. I would recommend this treat for anyone who wants to relax and have really soft feet.\r \r I found my boyfriend lounging on a chair on their patio and we have both decided a trip back to Spaone is on our list when we visit Tucson again. Pros: I loved the reclining chair! Cons: The tempature was a little cool. more

Yummy Pedi 11/24/2008

I have had wonderful pedicures before. I love to travel and as part of the treat I spoil myself to a special pedi when out of town. Last week was my birthday and I decided a special pedi was in order. I've been a member of SpaOne for a year now and decided to try an upgraded service. It's called the Almond Paraffin Pedicure. I call it a yummy pedi because the aroma of the Almond oils just set the tone. My Nail Technician Debra brought my pedi bath and as I put my feet in the water she added what they called Almond Milk bath into the tub. Actually I think it's more like a huge bowl. Anyway it turned the water Milky. It felt so soft and smelled so good. Then after she took off my old polish she used this scrub she said has refined sea salt and sugar, with more of that heavenly almond fragrance. Then after that she put a masque on my feet and massaged that in. I have to say it's a hard choice as to which was my favorite part, the scrub or the masque. I thought she was finished , no...she added paraffin on my feet after washing off the masque. Wow did my tootsies feel good. I was ready for a nap after. You have to try this Yummy pedicure. Pros: wonderful decodent service, valet parking, very clean Cons: I would have liked a cup of tea more
