Treated like a 2nd class customer. The minute you say groupon, they have no availability for you. Interestingly, the guy at the front said they had availabilty and was eager to get us seated. Then he remembered to ask if we had groupons and the answer changed the availabilty altogether. I realize that groupon is a cut in their income, but they don't realize that the purpose of groupon is to bring people in so they can come back and be a normal paying customer. If you can't treat them well, why would anyone go back?! Not to mention, when we said that it was unfair that even though they have people who could do our mani-pedi's, he is saying there is no availability (not to mention, no one else was waiting), he let out his own frustration saying that they sold SO MANY groupons and that people keep calling. I said they probably shouldn't have agreed to sell groupons if they weren't planning on honoring them. Needless-to-say, my first impression on a customer service perspective was 1-star worthy- if that! I will never go here- groupon or not. You need to try and accomodate all of your customers- treating them so differently will turn anyone away. It was a HUGE waste of my time to buy the groupon and even try using it, not to mention, a horrible feeling to be turned away b/c a groupon (aka: not a normal cash paying customer). They will find- if they treat their customers right (and by that I mean, treat them all equally)- their business will actually do really well.
