Spa On The Plaza

I recently spent time in Monterey and visited the Spa on the Plaza for the first time. The spa was just lovely! The treatments included soaks in a variety of tubs and the candle-lit ambience and new age music was very calming. The therapists were very skilled and professional, as was the staff. I enjoyed my body scrub, massage and steam treatments. I highly recommend this spa and cannot wait to make another visit to Monterey! For a truly peaceful and relaxing day, you ought to visit the Spa on the Plaza! more

Spa on the Plaza is a stones throw from Fisherman's Wharf. They offered the best packages for the area (I checked!). Very nicely decorated, Zen elegance, clean, peaceful, helpful knowledgeable staff. The package I purchased included an aromatheropy jacuzzi bubble bath, light body brush, mud wrap w/foot massage, rinse and full body massge. I upgraded the massage to sports (+$10.00) which was totally worth it. Make sure to reserve the sauna when you check in. The whole experience was what you want when you're on vacation. The Spa on the Plaza is now a permanent fixture on my "To Do" list when visiting Monterey. more

This was the first spa I have ever went to. I got the India Spa day, and I spent about three or so hours. I cannot remember who massaged me, but she was the sweetest woman, who made sure I was very comfortable and let me talk about all the stuff that had been bothering me... so not only did she get all the knots out of my back, but she helped me get a lot off of my chest. The facial was amazing. The complimentary milk lotion smelled wonderful. The only thing I didn't like was having to leave! more

I want to thank you for a spectacular spa and the services provided. I visited your spa for the first time today and have never had a better experience than at your Spa on the Plaza. I am visiting from Chicago which has thousands of places of what people call spas. Nothing compares to yours. The atmosphere was relaxing, beautiful, serene, refreshing, and smelled magnificent. I had a wonderful pedicure with Sue Ann. She was professional, warm and friendly. My feet have never looked and felt better. I also had a Botanical hair treatment with Lehea. WOW! Does she know how to roll out the red carpet? Lehea did and outstanding job on my hair. Lehea was knowledgeable and very talented. I have had thousands of blow outs and no one has done a better job than Lehea. The products she used on my hair are amazing. In fact the qualities of all the products used on me were outstanding. Both Sue Ann and Lehea made me feel important and pampered. I will sing the praises of Spa on the Plaza all the way back to Chicago and I will make sure I tell everyone to come to Spa on the Plaza when in Monterey. I only have one small complaint, Lizzie; the girl at the front desk could not break a twenty dollar bill for me so I could tip. I had to buy something with cash in order to break my twenty. I thought it was unusual, but I did not let it spoil my experience. In all fairness every single person I encountered there was very nice. Again Mr. & Ms. Malcolm, thank you for providing such superior spa services. I now understand why it was voted best spa in Monterey County for the last 5 years. I will definitely be back. more

I took advantage of a package that included the room rate, a facial and a massage last month.  It was definitely worth it!  My esthetician, Vanessa, was very friendly and my skin looked and felt fantastic afterward.  I think it actually glowed.  My massage therapist, Roy, is also one of the owners.  He was absolutely amazing.  I have had many massages at spas and I honestly must say that was the best massage I have EVER gotten.  The next time I visit Monterey, I will definitely book an appointment with Roy! more
