Spa Ni'joli And Salon

I started going to Spa ni'joli in 2008, when I wanted to get hair extensions ... and now I go for all my beauty needs; hair, nails, spray tans, etc. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and the work that they do is beyond impeccable. Pedicures last for weeks and the massages leave you feeling like a new person. I suggest them to everyone I know, and I would suggest them to you, too! I recently bought my girlfriend a spa package, for the fall special - which an incredible value. It included a facial, massage, manicure, and blowdry and the best part it was $99.00. The staff is beyond helpful and friendly. They took great care of me., and recommended the package initially. After my girlfriend went for her services she couldn't stop talking about spa ni'joli- her great services, the friendly staff, and how she wants another gift card for christmas. guys- you can't go wrong with a gift card to spa ni'joli. I've heard of spa ni'joli & salon through my friend who has been there a few times with Kelly Dolan. I am a mother of three and don't get chance to do my hair, let alone go to a salon! I visited their website & realized they had babysitting on the premises. After putting my three little ones in the babysitting, I was able to fully relax. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with the utmost care. Kelly did a great job and I didn't feel like a tired mother anymore! I am used to going to Newbury Street in Boston for massages, and of course they are expensive. But, I like the quality of work. A friend of mine told me to try out spa ni'joli, next to Latitude Sports Clubs. I gave it a shot, and absolutely loved it. Not only was it extremely relaxing, but the therapist got a ton of my knots out in my shoulders. I loved it so much that I decided to purchase a series, which you get the sixth massage for free. This salon/spa was highly recommended to me by my sister-in-law for their massages, mani, & pedis. I've been twice now. The first time I went to the salon and had a particular style in mind. The girl was really nice but totally disregarded what I wanted. I wanted layers and straight bangs (I have curly hair). She asked if I was prepared to straighten them every day (I told her yes, as I had already had straight bangs in the past). She then told me it wouldn't look right and gave me what she called "curly bangs" anyway. Then she just trimmed my hair instead of layering it. She applied about 5 products in my hair and tried to get me to buy them all (they made my hair heavy and greasy). When I went to check out I was charged WAY more than I was quoted when I walked in (and that was without tip). I got home and my husband had to wait by the car, so that I could wash the junk out of my hair before I went out in public. A couple months later I received a letter in the mail stating that the girl I had would be charging more for her services because she had more training, The second time I went I had a massage, mani, & pedi. Massage was really good, except that they give you a sheet that asks what area you want them to pay extra attention to. I marked lower back. The girl focused on my shoulders for an exceptional amount of time and was extremely rough (only on the shoulders, the rest of the massage was great). Then I had another girl for themani & pedi. She was great until one of the receptionist informed her that someone had forgot to order her supplies. After their loud conversation across the room the girl was tiffed. She was rough with my mani, ignored me, and I think I heard some curse words come out as well (although she may have just been griping). Overall, I think the only way I'll go back is for a massage ONLY, in which I will be heavily insisting on the areas I want focused on. Pros: Good massage & parking. I recently spent a full day of relaxtion at Spa nijoli. I can honestly tell you it had to be one of the best experiences of my life. From the moment I stepped into Spa nijoli I could tell it was going to be a first class place--they did not disappoint--. Everyone from the front desk to each service provider was very friendly,knowledgeable and so professional. I would and have recomended Spa nijoli to all my family and friends. I recently got married ( september 20th!) and brought my entire wedding party to Spa Ni'Joli. I couldn't of been more pleased with our experience. From the moment I called, the quality of service was truly remarkable. The girls I spoke to at the Front Desk were extremely accommodating and got in contact with me several times to touch base and ask if there was anything else they could do for me or my girls on or before wedding day. The service providers were all aware it was the day of my wedding and were constantly finding ways to pamper me!! My hair and makeup was stunning and my nail treatments were utterly relaxing. This is the only salon in the area that truly seperates the salon from the spa. It is on two floors, and the day spa is on the second fIoor. I had the most relaxing facial and massage upstairs in the dayspa. Then, I had a fabulous color and cut with KC. The price was reasonable, and the atmosphere was fabulous. I live in Methuen, and there are lots of different places to go for massages, manicures, pedicures and hair care. As a result, just because all these things are packaged under one roof doesn't mean that they are all equally good. The haircuts are expensive, and I haven't seen anything there that would make me want to put my head in their care. I had a pedicure once that was basic - and certainly not worth the $40 plus tip I was charged. My massage was what they call in the industry a "fluff and buff" - meaning no real muscle massage, just basically an oil application! The receptionist was nice to my face, but I overheard her sneering at another customer with someone else. I guess that you really need to ask for PARTICULAR workers by name, so you don't get the latest hair stylist that was hired in from "SuperCutz" or a bored housewife who thinks she has skills in massage. I'd go again if someone gave me a gift certificate - but wouldn't expect much. Pros: Parking can be great. Cons: Skill levels of technicians are not standardized. more

I had receieved a gift certificate from my husband for Spa Ni'Joli and a few weeks ago I spent the day, and it was truly a relaxing escape. The moment I walked in I was greeted by a friendly, attentive staff. I recieved a great little welcome packet and got a spa tour. All my service providers were wonderful! I hadn't been that relaxed in years!!! The actual spa was beautiful and very clean. I would reccomend Ni'Joli to any of my friends and family. My next appointments are already booked!! Ok, I had no trouble with parking and the people who work there are really nice. But the quality of the massage is not that good, in other words bad. There is no a single room to take a shower so anyone can come in while you are taking it.I also could not relax as I could hear everythig what was going on behind the door. Everything is known in comparison. I used to go to Tu Moda spa in Worcester and believe me after you go to that kind of place with a private steam shower, free relaxing tea and the massauses who create magic with your tensed muscles, this place seemed below average. rating this place I gave 3 stars for a really nice personnel... more

I recently found about Spa Ni'Joli through my new gym Latitude Sports Clubs, and I can't believe what a great spa and salon is in my neighborhood! I had lived in Boston my entire life so I had always given Spas on newbury street my business, but after my experience at Spa Ni'Joli i would travel from the city just to get the massage and pedicure I recieved. All the employees were very attentive to all my needs and were more than accomadating. After referring a friend I even recieved a free bumble and bumble product! I have had three massages here (two with Jessica) that rocked. It's about $65 for an hour-long Swedish massage--a fantastic deal by any standard. Longer and shorter massages and specialty massages (deep tissue, sports, etc) are also available. The ambiance is very nice overall--although one room was a little huge and not that soundproof. The shower situation isn't as decadent as G Spa on Newbury but otherwise this place is a great treat. The price means I can go for massages more often, and there's plenty of parking, too. more

I was surprised to find a salon of this magnitude in Methuen. I have always had my hair done the same way by my current stylist at another salon. I needed a change. The stylist I had was wonderful. She gave me a total makeover and colored and cut my hair better than anyone has in the past. I would totally recommend it! more

This place has a nice atmosphere and may have good spa services (haven't tried so can't say), but beware of the salon. The girl who did my hair seemed to have no experience in color, after 4 hours she still couldn't get it done right. I had to go somewhere else to have it corrected.
