This guy is the most unethical person I have ever dealt with. I asked him to replace my pool light, he gave me a price, then he installed a different light tha cost around $1000 because the light he quoted me was not in stock, then gave me the bill. Then to make matters worse, he said, while it is more expensive these lights never break or have isses. Within 6 months the light was not working so I called numerous times, however he never made it back to my house (several times he was on vacation Mexico). Finally, when he did return to my house after several months and numerous phone calls, he simply said that the light is no longer under warranty. Funny thing is, that after he installed the light I did not order, he proudly said that these have a life-time warranty. I reported this jerk to the BBB as well. People I have never read reviews, but have now come to see the value they provide to people like myself who rely on professionals in situations like this. more

Went with them because of the custom design of the pool. Learned very quickly they knew very little about pool construction. They spent very little time at the job site, and didn't get proper inspections. They have made building my dream pool into the worst experience possible. Robert took two days to get to my home re: follow up on a home inspector's concern. Robert ranted for, I promise, a solid 15 minutes about how worthless and untrained home inspectors are with regards to pools. He was very negative and came in with a pre-formed opinion. Spent, literally, five minutes LOOKING at my system, and told me the inspector was crazy. I asked for a receipt since I have to show one to realtor. He told me he didn't have any and would email one to me right away as this was a time sensitive situation and he had already taken two days to get to my pool. No email the first day, called him the second day, no email that day. Called him the third day, no email. Gave up and called warranty company who will try to get me a receipt. He is unprofessional and opinionated and does not fulfill promises made to customers. I am done with him and will get on Angie's List, BBB and anywhere else to let others know that they should beware. Let's face it, most sub-contractors don't do what they say they will do, run late, try to cut corners, etc. However, Spa Doc is the worst I've ever experienced in my many year of working with sub-contractors. Pros: Absolutely none Cons: Dishonest, unprofessional and unreliable!!! more
