This is a great all purpose salon that is even open on Sunday. Get your brows done by Lamai and hair cut by Chanyn (pronounced Shannon). more

convenient location 11/13/2005

I tried the Spa Bar on recommendation of a coworker and found it to be adequate for my needs, but not the greatest I've been to. This place was extremely busy when I was there and I felt rushed, which is NEVER a good feeling in a day spa. I think they overbooked and were rushing people through pedicures. My toes hadn't even dried before I was ushered out of the seat for the next client. more

What can you get at a Spa Bar that you can't get anywhere else? Everything! You can have work done on body, skin, hair nails. The whole package at one place! You can unwind, get butified and leave as a new person when you exit . You can have your nails manicured, your hair dressed, your skin soaked. Go to Spa Bar - you will enjoy the experence! more

not so hot 10/14/2005

I went to spa bar for some eyebrow and waxing services. The eyebrows were good however the cosmetologist completely missed waxing a spot on my upper lip (which I didn't notice until I got home because their service rooms are so dark). I also felt I got a half-way eyelash tint (for $35) because she didn't leave the dye on long enough. I for one am really tired of san francisco establishments that try to act hipper than thou without delivering on quality. Sure they have a nice facility and location but a bunch of candles and aromatherapy does not make up for mediocre services. I've had better lip waxes for $7 and theirs was $25. more

Fantastic place to go to if your really want to relax. They are a day and night spa with a salon. They do messages which is a great plus because you have so much to do in one place. You don’t have to go around to different places to get what you want. They pretty have everything you want if you want to enjoy and relax. They also have an oxygen bar! more

I was blowned away by their staff. They offered everything including hair cuts, message, waxing, pedicures at a really cheap price that everyone could afford. I recommended this to many of my friends living around the area and they were also pleased with their friendly service. I know I will be continuing to go there for atleast six times a year. more

I love this spa. I am a little parital because I used to work there but I go back as often as I can. The San Francisco location can be a little tough to find because it's tucked away in Old SF, but it is SO worth it! The entire place is very calm and relaxing. Everything is very clean and the staff is extremely helpful. They have a lot of therapists so you can always find someone that suits your tastes perfectly so that your experience is everything that it should be. more

Spa Bar 8/2/2005

Spa Bar is a fantastic bar but a little pricey. The atmosphere is awesome. I dont drink, so I get the home-made root beer, which is unbelievable. I assume that the beer is comparable. The menu is full of great pub kind of food, like Buffalo wings with Blue Cheese Sauce. The fries are great. For additional charge, you can add chili, or garlic, or cheese. Or all three if you like. Sometimes I go there and just get the fries with cheese and garlic, because everything else tends to be expensive. I have also had the chicken and apple sandwich, which is quite good, kind of different, if you are into mixing apples and chicken. The burgers are good. But you can get burgers any where, so they do have some unique items. About the best is the shredded beef tip with horseradish sauce. I got bad heartburn after eating it, but during eating it, it was bliss! Amazing sandwich, though probably not very healthy. All in all, great, but pricey. more

Spa Bar 3/21/2005

This spa has it all - fun and friendly staff, attentive and knowledgeable technicians, hip decor up front and a relaxing ambience in the back - and all this is in the middle of fabulous San Francisco! My sister and I were taken care of from the moment we stepped in the door until the moment we left. My massage was by far the best I have had, and friends are still complimenting my "glowing" skin a week after my facial. The prices are very affordable for such high quality services, and at night the spa turns into a hip place for private parties and chic San Francisco events. Stepping off the busy streets into Spa Bar is quite a treat, but stepping out of there afterwards feeling like a queen is even better!
