Spa Adriana

Spa Adriana has been my go-to place for hair color. Love the Aveda color and products, as natural as can be which is always a plus =) They leave my hair looking and feeling great. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!!! more

I went to see Jennifer my hair was in bad shape. She listened to me and really understood what I was looking for. She was honest with me and told me what would be needed to get my hair back on track. I changed my hair color I wanted to be a golden blonde and no other salon did it the way I wanted they said I couldn't be done. But she did it. My hair is beautiful!!!! it's perfect!!!! and its so healthy feeling she gave me a beautiful haircut and my hair is so bouncy and amazing. Thanks so much Jennifer I will be a client for life. Don't be scared, go to Jennifer she will make you very happy. I didn't think I could be I was about to give up on what I wanted but know im a believer that there's still really good hairdressers out there. more

I was visiting the area from colorado and went to salon with my mother who just move to the area. I was a little nerveous because I usually don't go to places I don't know but did to be a good support for my mother who was looking for a new place to go. I was put in with jenny a new stylist there and was so pleased. I was just going to get a single color but she suggested I get a highlight around my face just to brighten me up a little, they came out so natural and beautiful I truly love it. she also gave me a amazing haircut and blow out. My hair hasn't look this good in a long time. Very, Very happy I wish i lived here. more

BEWARE!!!!! rude owners will do whatever they want with your hair no matter what you say and then charge you an extreme amount of money on top of it all (and make you wait a long time to see them-even if you have an appointment). if you really want to go to this salon ask for a senior or junior stylist-they're still good and will actually listen to to what you want (what a concept!). more

I had called and asked the receptionist for a recommendation of a colorist for highlights and someone to trim my hair. She recommended Joyce for my highlights. She said that since it was my first time at the salon, I should have Adriana cut my hair because it's an ""amazing experience."" Then, I arrived and they told me Joyce was too busy, so they gave me Gina. That was the first indication that I should have left.\r \r My highlights were a streaky mess. On some pieces of my hair, there was an inch or more of a brown low light at the root followed by bright blonde on the rest of the pieces. The right side of my head is mostly brown while the left side of my head is mostly blonde. The pieces of hair around my ears weren't even highlighted - I can't even begin to tell you what a horrible job Gina did.\r \r Next came my ""amazing"" experience with Adriana. I told her that I was in a wedding in September and I wanted to keep my hair long so I could curl it for the wedding. I told her I wanted just a trim. She told me my hair was very dry and I needed to cut of more than an inch. I said, ""ok,"" but not much more. I kid you not - her ""trim"" was a huge cut of at least 3 1/2-4 inches. I couldn't believe it. My hair was up to my shoulders! I also have very thick, wavy hair and I HAVE to have long layers in the back otherwise my hair puffs out and looks to heavy. I stressed this to her. Well, she cut all of the layers out of the back so it was blunt and she just layered the front. I literally looked like I had a helmet on my head - it was awful. She blew out my hair and said, ""oh, I don't know where my flat iron is. I guess you are done,"" and sent me on my way. I was charged $75 for my helmet haircut and was furious. $75!?!?\r \r My hair looked SO bad that I wore it in a pony tail every day until I got it fixed at another salon 4 days later. I also spoke with a colorist at the salon (for when I go back to get my color fixed) and he said there was a ton of color bleeding in the back of my head and the highlight were very uneven. Went to a girl named samantha. It was an aweful experience. She was rude and snobby, and she really has no reason to be. After my blowout, I saw her featured in one of the ads. I wish I saw what she looked like in the ad before I got my hair done by her, because she looked horrible. If she couldn't make herself look good, how was she supposed to make me look good? After reading other reviews, I have to say I agree about the rudeness. I am a LA girl, and have seen much more professionlism. I have had only wonderful experiences at Spa Adriana in Huntington for over 10 years. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My high lights look so natural people can't believe I get high lights. My cut is so great that it takes very little time in the morning to re-create the look. Everyone is so kind and professional. I've never had a problem booking an appointment and they are always on time. The staff is professional and educated about the Spa experience. I went to Adrianna because I just moved away from my beloved salon, and saw that Adrianna was also an aveda concept salon. I was in need of a touch up on my highlights- with moving and all, it was about 8 weeks since I had them done. \r \r The colorist and hairdresser asserted that my hair was damaged and it would take them months to fully correct. They spent most of their time telling me what not to do to my hair, and then gave me 10 minutes of toner and a 10 minute haircut (I could have gotten better from supercuts), and yet I paid $130. Instead of bright blond highlights, I left with icky brown hair, and an appointment to go back a week later. \r \r The worst part was that they did not want to style my hair- or did not have time- either way, they tried to send me out the door with blown out straight hair in the front and still wet curly hair in the back. It was a disaster.\r \r I put my hair in a bun myself, and left crying, and made an appointment at Anthony DeFranco. Thankfully they gave me back my highlights and cleaned up my haircut for a more sophisticated look. Pros: aveda products! Cons: not satisfied with results more

Im a NYC salon junkie, and anjelica at spa adriana gave me the nicest color and the BEST blowout of my life. The owner adriana was sweet and beautiful and invited me upstairs and explained mayan culture. LOVED it there. Ill be going back. I called to find out information on this Day Spa on July 18th, 2006. A girl answered the phone and boy oh boy does she need help in the ""be nice to potential clients"" department.\r \r I asked if they offered eyelash extensions, which they didn't but she said that I could bring in my own lashes and they could apply them for me. She was clueless about this service which is the getting popular everywhere else. \r \r When I said ""no, that wasn't what I was looking for"" she immediately hung up on me without even a smile in her voice or a ""thank you for calling"" or ""may I interest you in another treatment?""\r \r I wanted to come in for another treatment but if the others there have the same negative attitude as this girl, they can forget about my business.\r Pros: Great website Cons: Receptionist was a stuck up female dog. more
