Chose them because it seems our MetLife185 Dental plan is comprised 99% of dental chains and they were fairly close. We are supposed to get a free cleaning with our insurance - but they refuse to give the basic cleaning and insist you pay for the deep cleaning. I have a very sensitive mouth and most of the people were not gentle. \r \r I had a tooth infection.The dentist looked in my mouth and told me she didn't see any reason I should be in pain (nevermind the 2 teeth she insisted I go have root canals on). I TOLD her I could tell I had a tooth infection. I went to my doctor and he gave me anti-biotics which took care of the infection and the pain went away. \r \r They can't do oral surgery on site and outsource to someone who thinks they are terrible dentists and can't read their own s-rays. (I REALLY didn't like him either though and he REFUSED to extract my tooth and made me get a root canal even though he knew -because I TOLD him - that I couldn't afford the crown and he KNEW I was maxing out 2 credit cards to pay him...) \r \r I have needed to go back to A dentist since December and I am still too scared to go. more

My daughter had her braces done at this location and it was a problem free procedure. We got good quality dentistry and friendly patient service just the same as any other paitent. I say this because my daughter is on Medicaid and we were treated as an innconvenience at another dentist's office. Fair treatment, great staff and flawless dental work at Southern Dental. more
