Let me start by saying that I've used STMC for most of my life. Dr. Aung, Dr. Colon, and Dr. Reddy are all excellent general practitioners and you will probably very happy seeing ...

typical rosenberg 2/8/2012

I have been going to STMC for over 10 years, I have seen the quality of service go down hill over the years. My regular doctor is Aung, no problem there never felt rushed, answered my questions, etc. My last few appointments have been with staff that I am not familiar with but ok Aung was booked. The gyno was impersonal with the ""what look on her face"" no small talk I had questions but I felt she really wasn't interested in answering so I guess I will be looking for a gyno other than staff at STMC. My most recent appointment with STMC I left there very angry, it was a waste of copay and time. Dr. Coonfield was who I saw, she was available, I had seen her once so I thought why not need to see a doctor. The minute she started asking me questions I knew I had made a mistake scheduling my appointment with her,. She is very intimidating, I felt very strongly that she felt I was wasting her time, lack of patient skills started of the appointment with ""boy you have a lot of complaints here"" as she is reading my medical chart. Another one I will never go back to. Then there is Colon, PA, , well put it this way one of my family members takes daily medication which he script has to be filled month to month and picked up at the clinic. The strength has not been consistent, I don't know how this can happen are they not documenting what they give their patient's, who is actually writing the scripts? I guess if you are considering STMC-Rosenberg location for your medical care you will leave there frustrated at their medical staff lack of professionalism and compassion and this is not even addressing the front administrative staff. . more

Poor care 12/16/2011

My husband went to South Texas Medical Clinic in May with what he thought was a respiratory infection. He could not keep any food down and was weak. They gave him antibiotics and sent him home. He never saw his doctor but did see a PA, Mr. Colon. \r The next day he went back thinking he now additionally had the flu. Still weak and not keeping anything down. He asked Mr. Colon if you could have the flu the same time as a respiratory infection and he said, ""Its a free country, you can have as many medical conditions as you want at one time"". I cannot believe he said that. Mr. Colon PA did not swab him for the flu but instead sent him home with meds to settle his stomach. I took my husband into my Dr. Meiser in Sugar Land. Thank God we did. Hubby had a red blood count of 4.5 when the normal is 18. Fortunately, he has a strong heart or he would not be here today. So NO THANKS to Colon PA.\r more

Good doctors, terrible administrators 6/14/2011

Let me start by saying that I've used STMC for most of my life. Dr. Aung, Dr. Colon, and Dr. Reddy are all excellent general practitioners and you will probably very happy seeing any of them. Unfortunately, to see any of them, you have to deal with the administrators. Yes, the front desk receptionists sometimes seem annoyed or curt with you. I tend to think it's because they have a lot to do. I've recently moved and am ATTEMPTING to have my medical records transferred. Unfortunately, the medical records department is only able to transfer records on ONE day of the week. The women in this office seem rather incompetent, and the fact that your records can only be touched by one person on one day of the week is, to me, just crazy. Small town mentality, perhaps. Or just ridiculous medical red tape. I'm not sure which. You can't even find a phone number for the records department on the website, so I had to keep calling the office line. So all in all, I do recommend the doctors, but unfortunately the STMC administration is so terrible that I wouldn't recommend anyone deal with it. more

Doctors/office 1/28/2011

First of all don't ask to leave a message with your doctor because they will never get back to you. Second of all the doctors in general lack any personality when you see them. Yes, they maybe working hard, but at least show some care. The front office is another issue. They seem irritated with you. So, in general, if you want good care I suggest not using them. Besides they use Oakbend Medical Hospital and believe me you want Memorial Herman. Since I am new in the area the hunt is on for a good physician. When I find one I will share it with you. The OBGYN there is new also and doesn't seem sure and didn't ask any questions. Thats what I get when I have had my OBGYN in Nevada for 35 years. I am spoiled having a good doctor. more
