The butchers there know their customers by name, and provide much knowledge to customers who come in looking for quality product. They help you to decide what you need and what cuts will work best for your dinner plans. Personally, I love their pre-cooked dishes. You can get ribs, roasts and chicken breasts that are stuffed, seasoned and ready to go. Very convenient. I highly suggest the stuffed chicken breasts. In the summertime, you can get barbecue packs in a variety of prices to fit your needs. A trip to South Side will have you grilling in no time. If you like outdoor cooking in the summer, you must pick up a pack of their steaks, hot dogs, pork and chicken. Your grill will thank you. Pros: Variety, convenience and friendly atmosphere. I was recommended by a friend to go here, she told me how they freezer wrap everything for you, and they will cut your meat for you the way you want. I said, what the heck why not give it a try. Went in there not expecting to see such friendly faces and be greated the way I was. I picked out a package deal, and one of the butchers worked w/ me to have what I wanted in here as to how I wanted it cut, how I wanted it packaged, how big, how small and what have you. If there was a choice of 2 different things, I was able to chose what I wanted, not what they wanted to put into my package. If it was a choice of cube steaks or stew beef, I chose what I wanted!!! They make their ground hamburger FRESH in FRONT of you while you wait. You want cube steaks, they take the meat and run it through the machine that makes them right in FRONT of you while you wait. You want a steak tenderized and seasoned, you got it! Had my cube steaks the same night, and they were the best tasting and most tender I EVER had. No grocery store could compare!! The service, prices, and freshness are Phanominal!!!! Take a ride and see for yourself! Pros: Ground fresh, cut fresh, packaged fresh, all about the customer! Cons: NOTHING!!!! more
