Wonderful Veterinarian! 3/22/2011

Our family loves Dr. Schmitt! He is a wonderful veterinarian who has always been very compassionate both to our pets and family. The entire staff at South Reno Veterinary Hospital has gone out of their way to ensure that our pets have received the best treatment possible. Dr. Schmitt is current on the latest procedures and methods. He is also available after hours and on weekends for any questions that we might have. Whenever our pets have needed additional attention, not only do we receive the attention they need, but we have received follow calls as well! I feel very comfortable with Dr. Schmitt and wouldn't trust my cat or dog with anyone else! more

Bad Experience 1/27/2011

Where do I start? The frail front door assistant is terrible, she can not keep straight thoughts or communicate very well at all. The vet is worse, he barely talks and then after he tells you about your pet blandly, he just stares at you,like your supposed to know the answers. They are very expensive and dont expect them to help you out any way. Payment plans, forget about it. Horrible comunication and way to expenisive. Their are many good vets in the truckee meadows, but this is not one of them. more

Incompetent and Outrageous Prices 12/31/2009

My dog needed a minor procedure but the cost was insane and of course the vet insisted he needed several other things. I was taken for a lot of money before realizing that these people are dishonest, uncaring, and money hungry. They take advantage of anyone who loves their pet, and will empty your wallet and stomp on your trust. Pros: Terrible experience Cons: Stay far away from this place. more

One of the nicest vets I know! 5/26/2009

Just an overall friendly and convenient veterinary hospital. My dogs love going to see Dr. Schmidt. The staff are always friendly and pleasant and his fees are moderate. Pros: Takes time to explain everything to you Cons: Is not open on Saturdays anymore more
