After about 2/12 years of talking with different cabinet companies and contractors, I found South Bay Design Center in Lomita. Their showroom had quite a bit of impressive displays, the staff appeared professional and was courteous. \r \r I quickly took advantaged of the free consultation and met with Loriann, who is their certified designer. she was knowledgeable and has great taste. We exchanged ideas and I could feel how my kitchen could be transformed into what I was dreaming of. The budget was workable and within my range. The crew had about a week delay but communicated well with me. The end result is fantastic and I'm receiving lots of great comments about my kitchen. Thank you South Bay Design! more

Does not know the meaning of oversight and quality control, totally overpriced for poor workmanship. We had to have his workers back three times to fix missing grout, cracked tiles,reversed hot and cold water faucets(go figure). After spending a horrible amount of money we had to hire other tile people to clean up the mess . Ps. We have pictures. more

I am absolutely in love with my new kitchen! AKA my sanctuary! Thank you, South Bay Design Center! From the day I stepped foot in their showroom, the people were friendly, helpful and everything was done in a professional and timely manner. They did charge an initial design fee of $1,000, which I was not thrilled about to begin with, but after seeing what was specifically designed for my kitchen, and then after the overall job was done, I believe it was well worth every penny! (The design fee was also applied toward the entire re-model cost.) Their attentiveness really made us feel like we selected the correct person for the job. Also, since we lived in our home during the construction of the new kitchen, the crew paid special attention to make sure they left it clean at the end of each work day and our home remained livable. I would recommend their services to anyone looking to improve their home as I am truly impressed with the quality and beauty that they were able to provide us with. more

We bought our home in December 2010 and were in desparate need to get our bathroom redone in a hurry and with a limited budget. I found South Bay Design Center in a local mailout we received. I met Ling Antido at the showroom and was immediately pleased with her professionalism and creative ideas. We had a small space to work with and we wanted to make sure we did it right. Ling created a couple designs for us. My husband and I liked what we saw but wondered if there were more options. Ling happily came up with another design that we both loved. Ling is creative, meticulous and easy to work with. We now have a beautiful bathroom, thanks to Ling. more

The thing that most impressed us about working with the staff at South Bay Design Center is that they did everything they said they would, it was done in a timely manner and with 100% satisfaction. The attention to detail to the design of our new kitchen and during the construction was phenomenal. We were hating the thought of the mess and the disruption during construction but you made sure everything went smoothly. I now have the beautiful kitchen I had dreamed about. My wife Dee and I would like to thank the South Bay Design Center, Ted, Jennifer, Bob and his crew of workmen for the great job all of you did on our bathroom. We really like the way our bathroom has taken on a new look. We especially like the bath tub glass enclosure. We weren’t quite sure how it was going to look but we love the way it turned out.\r \r We appreciate the fact that Bob's crew was very respectful of our property when doing the job. At the end of each work day, the work area was left relatively clean.\r \r We have mentioned our bathroom remodeling to our friends. For a number of years, we had accumulated books, articles, pictures and information regarding kitchen renovations. We definitely needed one, but our collection of stuff was pretty vague and had no plan. It was pretty much just things we liked and didn't like. It was very hard to visualize any changes or improvements, they were only fig newtons of our imagination at this point. \r When we were finally ready, we came to South Bay Design(Loriann), with the hope that you would be able to put some of these ideas into a workable plan. With the questions we were asked, the list of things we knew that we wanted, a bit of guidance and Loriann's design skills, South Bay Design Center gave us printed pages of our space that we could actually see for the first time. At last, we had something tangible to work with.\r \r The actual process itself was much easier than expected. We even went on vacation during the work, with Loriann's strong reassurances that all would be safe and secure, plus the added bonus of missing a bit of the noise, etc. They were right, we had no reason to be concerned. You could say that Keith, was the conductor and star performer in the transformation. His arrival times were always on schedule, his streamlined work methods were always appreciated. We have nothing but praise and admiration for all the work that was done. We would like to adopt him into our family.... he would definitely liven things up and he would come in handy! \r \r Everyone that sees the kitchen now is stunned by the transformation. I realize it was a team effort, and I appreciate the fact that we all played together so well. I must say i had the most fun ever and it was great place had lots of fun and the people were great, if other places could be like this it would be good on their behalf because business would be going good andoff the chain. i would come back or better yet i am coming back to south bay design, they had good stuff! more

This company charges higher fees than others(to make up for their high overhead)-they also tell you this up front, yet the service is awful. So on top of being overly pricey, there is a total lack of customer service and quality of work from the top down-owner Camaire down to their contractors. You are also forced to use them for everything so you lose some of your creative flexibility (i.e. if you want cabinets from a certain brand). I would not recommend this company. You would be better off with Home Depot-at least you're not working with a sleazy mom and pop organization. Cons: Service, Price, Quality of Work more
