COCO BANGED ME SO GOOD! He is SHEAR GENIUS! 11/22/2008

I've been going back and forth about getting bangs and a friend finally said, ""Just do it. TODAY!"". Coco gave me the most adorable haircut! Stylish, cute, sassy... all at the same time. He also told me what products I'll need so my cowlick doesn't interfere with my new fierce bangs. I've gotten so many compliments and my husband loves it! My husband also comes to Source and sees Tara for hair. She does a fantastic job every time. Our friend Chuck also sees Tara for cuts as well. People, if you want to look and feel MARVELOUS come get your hair did at SOURCE! Pros: Awesome talented staff, complimentary parking, modern space, no snobby 'tude more

Best esthetician in Seattle! 11/21/2008

Dana is the best! I've had facials, waxes and eye lash tinting from her and have been very happy with them all. Not to mention she has a terrific personality. If you're looking for an esthetician you will not be disappointed with Dana. Source is also a very cool place. You have to check it out! more

Great Facial from Dana 11/21/2008

I recently received a facial from Dana and it was amazing! I've had facials before elsewhere and they were wonderful and a great way to pamper myself, but this facial was different. My skin had inexplicably broken out and Dana suggested a medi type of facial where she used argon on trouble spots. When I left, my skin was smoother and clearer, and it felt marvelous. The results weren't temporary; my skin still looks and feels terrific. I highly recommend a facial from Dana before a big event when you want to look your best; it's worth every cent! I've been going to Dana for probably 7 years and I would highly recommend her. Dana gets my brows tamed with the best brow wax & shaping (and has fun soothing tricks too) and the provides ultimate relaxation for a facial-- with radiant results for the occasional splurge! Dana Wilson: Best Ever Esthetician 11/20/2008

Dana Wilson is the only person I trust with my lashes and brows; before I met Dana any waxing in that area left me with a painful rash. Dana just makes me beautiful and glamourous! No rash! Plus she is funny and smart. I have followed her to three salons now, with Source being the nicest of the three. I would recommend her to anyone who has sensitive skin and wants to look like a movie star. more

Go see Tara at Source Salon! 11/20/2008

I love having my hair did at Source with Tara. The salon is new and well-designed and relaxing. Tara is always able to translate my sometimes confused ideas into awesome hair. My hair stays looking good for a long time compared to other color treatments by past stylists. She really listens to what you are looking for and makes it better than you can imagine!! LOVE HER!! Best hair ever. 10/31/2008

I am sure the others at source are great, but Tara is now at her own salon, Hazel Salon & Organics.\r \r So I wanted to tone down my color. I'd been doing blonde foils forever, and was ready for a change! I was referred to Tara by a friend, who had just gotten great new color and a fab cut. Can't say how happy I am. She did something with two colors, but no foils. Whatever she did got me to the perfect balance of darker, not too dark, and not just one solid color. The cut was great, and she got rid of the bulkiness in my hair. My hair has never been easier to style! YEAY!\r I also got to sip tea and enjoy a magazine while the color sat. Source is totally cute. Upscale without the snootyness, in fact super friendly and the people seem real.\r \r Pros: parking in the building, loved the kevin murphy product without the chemicals Cons: almost missed the parking, it is a little hidden. more

Out with the old, diluted Spas - Back to the Source! 10/16/2008

Having been a fan of Habitude in the past and seeing all of my favorite talent leave, I was so happy to receive an invitation from Dana (my favorite esthetician) to Source's grand opening. I was amazed with the vibe there and the warm yet professional staff, many whom I recognized from services I had enjoyed years ago at Habitude. As the times change, apparently so does the place. Source is the new, small, amazing gem on Ballard Ave. I look forward to re-acquainting myself with the folks there, building relationships that I can trust and cherish. one stop spa shopping! 10/15/2008

I went in on a saturday afternoon and the place was in full swing. Despite the fact that there were customers everywhere, no one seemed to be neglected. It was a relaxing atmosphere without the needless and gratuitous cushiness of many high end spas I've been to in Seattle. I had an appointment for a facial and loved the care and efficiency that Seth provided so much I wanted more! I ended up staying for other services that i hadn't planned on receiving from Source. I used to go to one spa for my waxing needs, another for facials, and still another for massages...No more! I'm getting it all taken care of at Source with Seth and I'm soooo glad I no longer will be spending my weekends chasing that spa dream! AND, there's easy, free parking for customers! yay! :) Pros: atmosphere, just right service, parking, highly skilled and experienced staff more

Source Salon & Spa 10/9/2008

Had a wonderful facial treatment at the Source last month. I thought I was just going to get a facial, but was treated to a hand and arm message. Dana does a great job meeting the individual needs of her clients, and always greets me with a smile. My only concern was the sound from the reception area heard from the private rooms. Best Salon and Spa 10/7/2008

I love this new Salon and Spa. I would highly recommend scheduling with Apple for massage therapy and Dana Wilson for all your skincare needs including waxing. My massage was very memorable and met all of my needs including both deep work and relaxation. And Dana fixed up my eybrows with a wax that was the best I''ve experienced so far! The customer service was very accomodating and friendly-I felt very pampered there!!!! Definately going back. Pros: two thumbs up for sure! more

Great new salon-spa in downtown Ballard! 10/1/2008

My stylist (Tara - a miracleworker!) just moved to this salon, so I've been there twice now. Great, fresh space, good vibe. Really decent rates. I've only had hair done there so far, but sounds like they also offer full spa services (massages, mani/pedi, makeup). I love the atmosphere & coming to such a beautiful place right in the middle of Ballard (not far from the Majestic Bay Theatre & Caffe Vita). Pros: awesome hair technicians, ambience, good prices Cons: I haven't found any yet; for me, Source is like a better-located inexpensive more personalized Gene Juarez more

Dana Wilson is a gem! 9/26/2008

Dana Wilson is the BEST! My daughter and I have followed her from Habitude to Wild Root Salon, finally to Source. Her new home is so cool and cutting edge. Our brows have never been so happy! As someone who doesn't wear makeup, the lash tint has made me positively gorgeous. Glad Dana is back in the neighborhood, to beautify Ballard! more

Dana Wilson, Best Brow Wax 9/25/2008

\r Wow!!! Dana Wilson gives the best brow wax in Seattle. I am positive. I used to see her at Habitude for years and then was away on sabbatical for a while. I was so glad to track her down at Source recently. My brows haven't looked this good in months. Also, I highly recommend getting a facial from her. Her nurturing presence, delicious massage and knowledge make this a truly exceptional experience.\r I love the atmosphere at Source too. A step up from Habitude, in my opinion. Glad to see her in this refreshing new space. Tip: book in advance as Dana is very popular. more

Seth is Amazing! 9/24/2008

Source is a beautiful new salon and spa in Ballard. The space is serene with high ceilings and lots of space. I particularly like how large the treatment rooms are. The best part, however, is seeing Seth. He is smart, funny, and knowledgeable about skin without ever pushing products. I have had facials at several places in Seattle and the facials I have had from Seth have been the best. He customizes the facial to my skin's needs and I leave with my skin glowing. Seth knows skin, he know the products on the market, and he takes pride in being skilled at what he does. Pros: Great space, free parking, and skilled staff more

Wow - Left Speechless 9/24/2008

I've been eagerly waiting for this shop to open and I'm super impressed. First off - there is free parking in the garage in Ballard (who knew that exsisted?)! Within the first 3 minutes of my visit and getting a tour, I loved it all - the layout, the floors, the colors... everything including the bathroom sink! The space was very well thought out by the owners and designers. My facial with Dana was fantastic - oh-so heavenly and relaxing. My skin felt incredible! I cannot wait to go back to visit her!
