I was intrigued by acupuncture and had tried out a few places in Chicago but I was underwhelmed. Then a friend told me about Source Healing and Christie Jordan and I have been hooked ever since. The studio is beautiful and calming. The receptionist always makes an effort to accommodate my schedule. And Christie is a miracle worker. Unlike other acupuncturists, she talks to clients about what is going on in their lives as she treats them, and tailors her treatments to suit their individual needs. She has reduced my stress, helped me get pregnant, and prevented me from getting morning sickness. I leave her studio feeling relaxed and wonderful every time! more

Source Healing, located in River North, is the most wonderful place you could imagine for acupuncture. I have been treated by Christie Jordan for several years and have found it a life-changing experience. In contrast to many other acupuncturists, this is not a clinical experience. Christy only sees one patient at a time and totally focuses on the experience. (The same is true of the other practioners in the space.) Depending on the malady, she uses a variety to techniques (e.g., the thing with the spoon, cupping). A wide variety of custom-blended great herbal remedies available. I began going to Christie Jordan almost fifteen years ago, before she founded Source Healing. Whenever I had a health issue that I knew would result in the typical Western medicine treatment of MRI, prescription drugs and months of useless physical therapy, I went to see Christie. I received accupuncture treatment for age-related infertility from Brian Keenan for a number of months. My weekly treatments from Brian did so much to help keep me centered and reduce my stress and anxiety. Brian is a calm, attentive healer who is truly dedicated to his clients' well being. Though it is hard to know what made the difference, I did conceive after several months of treatment from Brian. I have been going to see Christie Jordan for almost 8 years for varying health issues at Source Healing. She really gets to the "source" of the problem by asking a lot of questions prior to the accupuncture session (they offer many other services too), "honing" in on what needs to be addressed; each session is different. I always feel better, invogorated, motivated, and ready to tackle the problem/issue after being treated. Everyone there is extremely inviting, open and friendly ... I recommend Christie all the time to my friends for anything from panic attacks, fertility issues, aches and pains, even to clear the channels for a mental tune up. For those who are skeptics ... After years of unexplained infertility, I decided to see Christie after hearing her name mentioned from someone with a similar situation. Christie made no promises and I didn’t expect anything, but after two sessions with her, I was surprised and ecstatic to learn I was pregnant. I don’t know what it was, but her soothing words along with her great knowledge of eastern medicine made me feel completely at ease and relaxed after sessions with her. I am now a mom of two beautiful boys; both of whom I went to see Christie before I became pregnant. I tell everyone who has back problems, infertility problems, or stressed to see Christie. I began seeing Mary in March 2010 with chronic pain in my foot. I had seen a general practioner, 2 orthopedic specialists, spent 9 weeks in a walking boot, numerous xrays, and an MRI only to be told I needed surgery (but with no proof why). Instead, I decided to see Mary, on recommendation from a friend. Not only has she greatly reduced the pain in my foot (we are in the final stretch), but she has helped to undo so many other issues I had going on that contributed to my foot, helping my body find balance. Mary is kind, patient, understanding, and extremely passionate about what she does. She is very professional, always explaining anything that she is going to do. She is wildly talented; knowing almost everything that is going on with me physically, emotionally, and spiritually even if I don't tell her. I actually had one session where she put a needle in and told me "that one's for all the sweet cravings you've been having" (I had been shamefully shoveling in chocolate all day). I cannot recommend Mary enough. She is now a permanent part of my journey to well being. more

Being new to acupuncture, I wasn't sure what to expect during my first appointment, but I must say, I was very pleasantly surprised. I went in for fertility concerns and within 3 months I was pregnant. Mary S. is great! She couldn't have been sweeter or more comforting. I started going to Mary at the beginning of this year for UTI’s. I had gone to the urologist and was given medicine to take, but I just did not believe that was my only option. I decided to try acupuncture. I was immediately drawn to Mary. She has such a calm and kind presence about her. You could tell immediately that she loves her job and was very good at it. With the help of Mary, acupuncture, and herbs I feel so much better. Not only has she helped with my bladder issues, she has also treated me for acne and mood swings. I recommend Mary to everyone. I started going to Mary Sabo at Source Healing in June 2009 for infertility after a year of trying to conceive. I had been told by a specialist I had low ovarian reserve and therefore would have difficulty conceiving. The specialist recommended in-vitro, but I wasn't ready and wanted to try a more holistic approach first. My cycles were very unpredictable and I was hoping to even things out a bit. Mary recommended we start acupuncture, combined with herbs and a special diet. By month three of this regime, I found out I was pregnant! I continued to see Mary throughout my first trimester until my husband and I relocated to San Diego. Mary is the utmost professional. Always on time. Always calm and encouraging. She always knew what I needed out of a session. She even predicted I would have a boy...which I did on June 6, one day after his due date. Mary helped me realize my dream of becoming a mom! I went to Source Healing for treatment of pain from a back injury and for insomnia. Christie has helped me on my path to healing. She is nurturing and informative and is a delight to be around. I entered into acupuncture treatment after spending 10 years in chronic pain, with many other symptoms. I had been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Sleep Apnea, Myofascial Pain Syndrome, chronic Sciatica, IBS, and had continual sinus infections and vascular headaches/migraines. Along with daily widespread pain, I had such a huge level of fatigue that I needed to take a several hour nap each day, even after taking the Ritalin prescribed to me to help combat the daytime sleepiness. I had tried every method I could think of to overcome all of these symptoms, including physical therapy, massage therapy, chiropractic treatment, epidural injections, and cortisone injections, as well as taking Cymbalta and other medications which were supposed to help the pain. My many doctors told me I was doing everything I could. Since seeing Christie for the first time this past summer, I have been on a continual path toward healing and wellness. To say that she has changed my life is an understatement. I no longer take any medications- prescription or otherwise, have been pronounced "cured" or in remission from Fibromyalgia by my Rheumatologist, have lost weight without even trying, and have more balance in my life than I have ever had. I drive in to the city from the Northern suburbs every week or two, and would drive as long as it took to get to Source Healing. I consider myself blessed to have found Christie- if you are lucky enough to be treated by her or her incredible staff, you will see what I mean! I have been going to Christie Jordan for 8 years. I couldn't recommend anyone more. She has helped me through so many different things from the mundane (work stress, business travel, life changes) to big stuff (sciatica, cancer, fertility).
