I would not recommend this place to anyone. Actually I cannot speak for the doctors. I received care from the Nurse Practitioner, Charlotte Peake. My visit started out great. I hardly had to wait. The girl asked if it would be okay if a Student of the Nurse Practitioner could come in and I was fine with it. The student came in and spent about 10 minutes with me asking me questions, looking at the problem. I was breaking out underneath my engagement ring for months now, but I had been wearing it for 2 years, and never had problems with gold before. I told her I had tried previous medications and it didn't work, and all the details. She came up with a conclusion that made the most sense to her as well as I. Because she was a student she went to get Charlotte Peake to just check and make sure she agrees. She came in the room for about a whole 30 seconds and said I am just allergic and to try the medication I had already been using. When I told her this she basically said well, this is the problem so just use the medication for two more weeks. I am very irritated. She didn't even listen to what I had to say the problem was. She came in already thinking she knew what the problem was and was not willing to reconsider when I tried to tell her the details. She apparently is just set in her ways and doesn?t want to listen to what the patient is telling her. I feel it was a waste of $25 for this visit, just to get a prescription for something I already have that?s not working. more

In a world of many illnesses and needs by many patients, I find SMC to be great! I am given honest and direct care for my needs including not just sound instruction but understanding and patience with my moods and behavior. The professionalism exhibited by the entire staff with care and follow-up gives me a sense of comfort that I have not experienced at other places. Being a very busy medical practice, trying to accommodate a fickle clientele with constantly recurring needs and last minute appointments and/or changes, this is a refreshing atmosphere to enjoy. When the long waits occur at times, I look around the waiting room and am amazed at how many of us are present and NO WONDER there are lags and delays. AND we're still all taken care of, too! At any rate, the customer service is excellent as far as I can observe!! Thanks for being there to care for me when I have needs. In the past 8 years that I have been a ""patient"" at Sonoran Medical Center I have not once been treated like I was important. The wait has been up to 45 minutes to 2 hours at times. I had a shoulder injury and they didn't want to give me a referral to get it looked at by a specialist. The office staff including the doctors seem like you are the last person they want to be helping at that moment. I want to feel like the 10 minutes that they are with me are about me and I don't want to feel scared to ask questions. I always feel like I will be laughed at if I ask a question in this office. I called to get an appointment for a serious sinus infection and they said they had nothing available for 2 days. I have never heard of a doctor's office not having appointments available for ""call ins"". The rooms are not attractive and the doctors seem tired and cranky. more
